Actress Hansika Motwani gets engaged by the Eiffel Tower

Popular South Industry actress Hansika Motwani put a rest to rumours surrounding her marriage by making her engagement with her long-time boyfriend and entrepreneur Sohael Kathuriya official on Instagram. 

Hansika posted photos of Sohael getting on his knees in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France and proposing to her with a ‘Marry Me’ sign and candles all around them. This romantic gesture had all the elements of a grand movie proposal. 

Several celebrities including PV Sindhu, Varun Dhawan, Karan Tacker, Anushka Shetty and Esha Gupta congratulated the couple on Instagram via the comments section wherein they poured all their love and support for the couple. 

Who is Hansika Motwani?

Hansika came into the limelight when she played the role of Shona in the popular kids' TV Show ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’. Thereafter, she made her debut in films as the lead actress in the Telugu film ‘Desamuduru’ for which she earned the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She later made her Hindi film debut in the 2007 Himesh Reshammiya starrer ‘Aap Kaa Surroor’ which was a Box Office Hit. Hansika Motwani has been very active in the Tamil and Telugu industries, making her name as one of the most popular South Indian actresses of this decade. Hansika’s fiance, Sohael Khaturiya is an entrepreneur by profession and the couple are business partners as well.

There were a lot of speculations recently surrounding Hansika Motwani’s marriage by the end of the year but she did not address the rumours till she posted photos on her Instagram with the caption “Now&Forever”.

Reports suggest that Hansika and Sohael will get married on the 4th of December 2022, with their Sangeet, Haldi, Mehendi and other wedding rituals starting on the 2nd of December. Hansika and Sohael’s wedding will reportedly take place at a palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan as the couple are planning on having a destination wedding with only their close friends and families in attendance. However, no updates about the wedding have been given by Hansika as she is yet to reveal her wedding plans.

According to sources, the couple will begin their pre-wedding rituals with a Sufi performance on 2nd December followed by Mehendi and Sangeet on 3rd December. Hansika and Sohael’s wedding will take place on 4th December in the evening, after their Haldi ceremony earlier that day. The wedding festivities will reportedly end with a casino-themed after-party at night.
