Akshay Kumar in An Action Hero

As Ayushmann Khurana is busy promoting his new movie ‘An Action Hero’ which is slated to release on 2nd December 2022, reports have come out saying that Akshay Kumar, who is Bollywood’s original Action Hero is also going to make a cameo appearance in the movie. According to a source close to the film, Akshay Kumar has already shot a few significant portions which will define the journey of Ayushmann’s character in the movie. They also mentioned that it is impossible to shoot an action movie without the presence of the original “Khilad”’. 


An Action Hero Overview

Ayushmann Khurana's starrer ‘An Action Hero’ will release on 2nd December 2022 and will also feature Jaideep Ahlawat in an important role. The movie’s poster was revealed a few days back and we can see Ayushmann in a never-seen-before avatar. The trailer was released today 11 November 2022 at 1 pm on T-Series’ official youtube channel. An Action Hero is directed by debutant director Anirudh Iyer and is produced by Anand L Rai. This is Ayushmann Khurana’s first action hero and is also the first collaboration between Ayushmann Khurana and Akshay Kumar.

Ayushmann Khurana was last seen in the movie ‘Doctor G’ which did average business at the box office. He will feature next in ‘Dream Girl 2’ which also stars Ananya Panday in the lead role. Akshay Kumar has had a run of flop films in 2022, with ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ failing to make a mark at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movies include ‘OMG 2 - Oh My God! 2’ which also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, ‘Selfiee’, which stars Emraan Hashmi, the untitled remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’, and his first Marathi movie ‘Vedant Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’.
