Alia Bhatt is a British actress of Indian origin who works primarily in Hindi cinema. She has won multiple awards for her portrayals of women in difficult situations, including five Filmfare Awards. After Alia Bhatt’s recent first-ever red carpet appearance at Met Gala 2023, the actress has been the talk of the town with her white gown from the shelves of designer Prabal Gurung. The actress has achieved many milestones in life and now Gucci has named her as the brand's first Indian global ambassador which adds a feather to the cap.

Gucci is an Italian luxury fashion brand headquartered in Florence, Italy. Its product categories include handbags, ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, and home décor, and it licenses its name and branding to Coty, Inc. for fragrance and cosmetics under the brand name Gucci Beauty.

On Thursday Gucci named Alia Bhatt as its first global brand ambassador from India. Bhatt joins a long list of international A-listers, including Lee Jung-Jae, South Korean actress Mina Shin, Japanese star Jun Shison, musician Harry Styles, and Dakota Johnson.

Gucci welcomed Bhatt and is looking forward to her debut appearance as a worldwide brand ambassador at the House's upcoming Cruise 2024 fashion show in Seoul on May 16, 2023, at Gyeongbokgung Palace. The event will commemorate the fashion house's 25th anniversary in the country.

According to the brand, Alia Bhatt has established herself as one of the most loved and talented actresses of her generation, consistently ascending the Indian Film Industry and winning over the hearts of fans all over the world. 

To commemorate the occasion, Alia Bhatt made the following announcement on her Instagram account.  She shared two photos and wrote a little remark. I'm honoured to represent the house of Gucci not only in India but on a global stage, she wrote. Gucci's legacy has always inspired and interested me, and I'm excited to see how many sartorial landmarks we can build together.

Gucci, in addition to Alia Bhatt, published a post with a caption from its official Instagram account. Alia Bhatt is the House's newest Global Brand Ambassador, they added. To commemorate the event, the actress, producer, and businesswoman was photographed carrying the Gucci Bamboo 1947 bag.

Meanwhile, professionally speaking Alia will also star in Netflix's Heart of Stone, following her debut as a producer for Netflix's Darlings and a lauded performance in RRR, which was nominated for best picture - non-English language at the Golden Globes 2023.

Moreover, Alia Bhatt's star is rising as she has been crowned Gucci's first global brand ambassador from India. This honour recognises her brilliance, hard work, and expanding worldwide appeal. 

She has received numerous prizes for her performances, including five Filmfare prizes, as one of India's highest-paid performers. She is also a successful producer and businesswoman, with interesting projects in the works such as Netflix's Heart of Stone and Darlings. Alia Bhatt is prepared to take the world by storm with her debut performance at the House's forthcoming Cruise 2024 fashion show in Seoul, as she continues to cement her legacy as a remarkable and multidimensional artist.
