Jiya Shankar was given an assignment in which she had to pair lines from placards with the participants who best fit the descriptions. The question who should stop sugarcoating things and say it as it is? was posed. Jiya picked Jad Hadid and told him that he frequently judges people indirectly by their actions. She urged him to be more forthright with his ideas because others look to him for guidance. 

Jad Hadid later explained to Jiya that he thought she was just picking on him and rehashing previous grievances in order to make herself look better. Jiya insisted that she only meant it in jest, but Jad was still upset and pointed out that it was irrelevant whether her intentions were good or bad because she had already said it. Jad pointed out that they were using the wrong word. Jiya continued by saying that all she wanted was for him to speak his mind freely.

When Elvish Yadav realised that he would be sleeping next to Aashika Bhatia, he begged Abhishek Malhan to trade beds with him. Manisha Rani told Jiya and Abhishek that since Elvish and Abhishek are both boys, they can sleep together in bed and that since Aashika and Jiya are both girls, they can also sleep together in bed. 

However, Jiya said, I cannot sleep without Abhishek, thus she declined Aashika Bhatia's offer to share a bed. I've gotten used to having him in bed with me. Jiya didn't want to sleep next to Aashika, and Manisha, Elvish, and Aashika addressed this afterwards. Aashika was advised by Manisha and Elvish to object and sleep next to her. Abhishek was the target of their jokes as well as their playful teasing.
