Season 2 Episode 18 of Bigg Boss OTT has been just as riveting and exciting as the rest of the season, keeping viewers glued to their screens. Every episode has had something entertaining happen, from heated debates to surprising turns. Competitors for the role of captain and the shifting dynamics between them have always been the subject of much discussion. Several shocking surprises occurred in this week's episode of Bigg Boss OTT 2, which was the 18th overall. Several dramatic developments, such as Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve making amends and Abhishek Malhan being demoted to vice-captain, kept spectators glued to the show. 

Task for Captaincy 

Bigg Boss spotted the current captain, Abhishek Malhan, dozing during an exciting episode of Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, leading to a scolding for not taking his responsibilities properly. So Bigg Boss announced a captaincy task in which everyone except Jad may take part. The job entailed a buzzer in the garden; whoever pressed it first would be eliminated from the race for the captain. 

Abhishek and Avinash Sachdev pressed the buzzer quickly and competitively. In the end, only Pooja Bhatt and Jiya Shankar remained in the competition. Avinash promoted Jiya as captain because of their close relationship. As captain, Jiya was responsible for protecting one player from elimination and nominating another. She was spared, as Pooja Bhatt was nominated for elimination.

Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve make amends

Jiya Shankar and Manisha Rani had a fight in the Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 house because they couldn't agree on where Manisha should sleep. Manisha told Jiya that the bedroom's air conditioner was too cold for her, so she couldn't sleep there while feeling ill. Instead of a bed, she wanted to sleep on the outdoor couch. Jiya, however, reminded Manisha that she was not permitted to alter the bedding arrangements without prior approval. Bebika Dhurve, who had previously been on Jiya's side, now took Manisha's side, insisting that she be permitted to use the bed. 

Bebika Dhurve told Jiya that she can't sleep in the bedroom because she saw Manisha get really sick. Later, when Manisha was locked up, Bebika brought her food and talked to her about Jiya's captaincy while they both waited for her release. Bebika revealed that she and Manisha have been conversing after being teased about their reunion by Jiya. 

Ration Task 

The Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 house's rations distribution was entrusted to Jiya Shankar after she was named captain. Bigg Boss gave Jiya strict instructions to make sure everyone got their fair share of the rations, except for the rule-breaker. A prison sentence with no food was planned for this competitor. In accordance with these directives, Jiya decided to lock up Manisha Rani and deny her food rations as punishment for her disobedience. Because of this decision, tensions rose in the house, and arguments and debates broke out among the competitors.
