In an exclusive interview with The Established, they reflect on their journey so far and share their plans for the future.

Falguni Shane Peacock is a high-end fashion label based in Mumbai and New York City. Falguni Peacock and Shane Peacock founded the label in 2004 and offer both haute couture and ready-to-wear collections. With distribution channels and partners in Dubai, London, New York City, and Los Angeles, the brand now has a global reach.

Falguni and Shane Peacock debuted on the runway in Delhi in 2004 alongside four other designers. Despite its early Sunday morning slot, the show was a success, with international retailers such as Harrods purchasing their collection. This experience convinced the duo that their design philosophy was universally appealing. They then went on to show at Miami Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, and finally London Fashion Week. However, their first London show coincided with the failure of Lehman Brothers, raising concerns about the event's success. Despite this, the situation aided in their brand's reinvention, resulting in a new take on their aesthetics in their next collection.

Their Comeback to New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week (NYFW) is a major fashion industry event held twice a year, in February and September. It presents the most recent collections of established and emerging designers to a global audience of buyers, editors, celebrities, and fashion enthusiasts.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) organizes the event, which began in 1943, and it is held at various locations throughout the city. NYFW has evolved into a platform for designers to showcase their work, as well as an opportunity for the fashion industry to unite and celebrate the art of fashion.

Falguni and Shane Peacock, who have established a strong presence in the Indian fashion market, are set to return to the official New York Fashion Week (NYFW) calendar this September. The couple has been actively preparing for their return for the past two years, including co-hosting the South Asian Excellence Awards at the Oscars earlier this year with Priyanka Chopra. Last year, they also co-hosted a star-studded Diwali party in New York, which was attended by Christian Louboutin, Anjula Acharia, Prabal Gurung, and Kelly Ripa. 

Since their first collection in 2004, Falguni and Shane Peacock have gone on to dress A-list celebrities and show their collections on international runways. After establishing their brand in the Indian market, they are now returning to the New York Fashion Week calendar, marking a new milestone in their fashion journey.
