Govinda Naam Mera is in the news again. The Karan Johar-produced movie, which was supposed to release in theatres, will be available to watch online on Disney+ Hotstar from 16 December 2022.
Karan Johar announced via a post on Instagram that the movie Govinda Naam Mera will be a direct-to-OTT release. He also released the poster of the movie via Instagram post which shows Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani in a never-seen-before avatar.
Govinda Naam Mera is a comedy movie that promises to be different from the recent slapstick comedies that have been released lately. The cast of Govinda Naam Mera includes Vicky Kaushal as Govinda, a junior dance artist who tries to make it big but is unsuccessful and is drowned in debt. Kiara Advani will play the role of Suku, who is Govinda's girlfriend and works in the same dance academy as Govinda. Bhumi Pednekar will play the role of Gauri, Govinda's abusive wife who beats him and also has an extramarital affair. The movie is directed by Shashank Khaitan and is produced by Ajit Andhare, Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the banner of Dharma Productions, Mentor Disciple Films and Viacom18 Motion Pictures.
