Arjun mentions that he can fight his war, so why do it all? Anjali responds that she knows he can fight every war except that of Preeta because he constantly thinks about her. Arjun mentions that he only sided with Rishab because of Preeta, but he did it for himself. Anjali knows he tends to fight from the front so that he would win the war in their chosen pattern. Anjali exclaims that she knows he's terrible, which is why she likes him; Anjali hugs him and tells him that she will always be by his side.
Rishab and Mahesh both ask her why. Rakhi explains that she met him outside the court and asked him to take back the case, which he agreed to. Preeta and Rishab both ask why she met him, and Rakhi angrily warns them to stop this hatred because relationships only flourish with love; she knows he makes mistakes, just like Karan, but it never meant he intended to harm anyone. Rakhi asks them to try to understand because she believes Arjun is not such a wrong person. After all, he took full responsibility for his actions; they all know it was impossible to clear Rishab of all charges. Arjun used the only method available to them to end the hearing. Rakhi asks who in modern times stands for the truth, and she tells him she wants him to forget everything because she believes he is not a bad person; she believes Arjun should be Rishab's younger brother because she only has him to worry about; what is the need for this hatred and fighting, and can they not give him another chance? Rakhi advises them to give up the fight because life is too short to fight all the time.
Sameer responds that he agrees. Arjun appeared in court, but he also attempted to take Rishab bhai's life, which Rakhi questions when she says he is Bhagwan, but they can forgive him for everything because he, too, deserves a second chance. Rakhi inquires whether they can both forgive him for his actions. Dadi asks Rakhi how they would handle it if he had harmed the entire Luthra family; Karina agrees with Dadi, explaining that even if Arjun came to take the blame, how could they all forgive him? Rakhi explains it is a huge thing when one realises his mistake and apologises, she says he is not an outsider, and they all meet him again and again; Rishab exclaims it is not that and walks to Rakhi explains she is the mother and if she wants him to meet Arjun, he will go because he can do anything for his family. Rishab informs Preeta that he will meet Arjun, and she declares that she will accompany him.
Arjun is constantly drinking in the room, remembering when Preeta filed the restraining order against him, and she vowed to fight Arjun and help free Rishab jee. Arjun also recalls Rakhi slapping him. A worker informs Arjun that Rishab Luthra wishes to meet him; he responds that he does not want to meet Rishab, who can go to hell; the worker responds that even Preeta's mam was saying the same thing, that he will not meet Rishab; Arjun asks if Preeta also came and then agrees to meet them.
Arjun walks out holding the alcohol bottle, surprised to see Rishab and Preeta thinking about how she blamed him for using Anjali to get back at them. Arjun asks what they want, and Rishab explains that he came here on the advice of his mother, who told him that Arjun made that confession at her request and that she wants them to put aside their differences and behave civilized because he is a nice person. Rishab explains that his mother believes Arjun is similar to Karan in that he would not want to harm anyone but cause it, to which Arjun responds that he always does everything for himself; pointing to Preeta, he says she said he uses women to fight his wars and is a wrong person, she said she is glad that he was ousted from the Luthra's lives and she is delighted, Rishab seeing his advances stops Arjun who explains.
Arjun asks why he should be surprised when Preeta says she will kick him out of the lives of the Luthras and Kavya. Arjun mentions breaking Rishab out of jail so he can live with Preeta because if he weren't with her and broke all the promises she made, they would say he defeated a woman when the game should be played on an equal playing field.
Arjun declares that he will not stab them as they did and will not allow Karan's innocence to be turned into foolishness while taking revenge for everything. Rishab questions what he is saying because he came here to sort out everything, but Arjun insists on taking revenge. Rishab informs them that they do not understand what mistake they have made. Arjun angrily declares that he will exact revenge on Karan, to which Rishab responds angrily that he came here to settle all disputes because his mother instructed him to. Still, Arjun is instead dragging his brother, and Rishab warns Arjun not to go down that road.
Rakhi hands Mahesh his nightgown; he stops her and asks if she wants Rishab and Arjun to be friends and if she doesn't think he's a little crazy. Rakhi responds that she believes they misunderstood him because he sometimes makes decisions in anger, and when someone tries to explain everything peacefully, he understands it all. They saw that Arjun took the blame because he realised his mistake. Mahesh responds that he is concerned for her because Arjun is evil, and she is showering love on him. Rishab inquires what he is saying, and Arjun responds that he will give them time to prepare. Still, if Rishab backs out, he will understand and reveal the truth about their marriage in front of everyone before marrying Preeta. Rishab slaps Arjun, warning him not even to mention Preeta's name, Dadi and Anjali also come out in shock, and Preeta is very tense.
