'Tis the season! Christmas is around the corner, and people worldwide are gearing up to celebrate one of the biggest festivals ever. Christmas trees are being decorated, and streets are lit by the fanciest chandeliers, making every nook and corner of the world shine as bright as a newlywed bride. As the Christmas season approaches D-day, more and more people are gearing up to watch all the new Christmas movies with their friends, families and loved ones. After all, who doesn't like watching new Christmas movies while having a hot cup of coffee and snuggled up in their blankets? So here's a list of all the new Christmas movies that have been released in the year 2022!

1. Falling for Christmas

Falling for Christmas is a new Christmas movie about a young, newly engaged heiress who had a skiing accident in the weeks before Christmas. After being diagnosed with amnesia, she finds herself in the care of the attractive lodge owner and his daughter. Falling for Christmas is the much-awaited return of actress Lindsay Lohan, one of the most successful actresses of this generation.

2. The Noel Diary

The Noel Diary is a tale of a man who makes a Christmastime trip home to handle his mother's estate. Once there, he finds a diary of a lovely young woman on her own strange adventure, as well as a diary that may contain information about his own background. The Noel Diary is a new Christmas movie released on 24 November 2022 on Netflix. It stars Justin Hartley and Barrett Doss in lead roles, making it one of the most entertaining new Christmas movies this year!

3. Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is an animated movie released on 2 December 2022 on Netflix. It is a musical adaptation of one of Charles Dickens's most popular Christmas stories. The cast of Scrooge: A Christmas Carol includes some of the most famous celebrities like Olivia Colman, James Cosmo and Luke Evans, making this new Christmas movie an entertaining ride from the start to the end.

4. Christmas With You

Christmas With You is your typical Christmas romantic comedy movie that is sure to make your heart melt. Directed by Gabrieal Tagliavini, Christmas With You is a new Christmas movie with a diverse cast of Aimee Garcia, Freddia Prinze Jr. and Deja Monique Cruz in lead roles. Christmas With You is a story about a famous young pop star who has fled to a small town after being burnt out from the pressure of fame to find inspiration and love to move her career forward. The movie was released on 17 November 2022 and is an excellent movie to watch with your family.

5. A Christmas Story Christmas

After about 39 years of releasing the first instalment, 'A Christmas Story', the second part, titled 'A Christmas Story Christmas' is finally out, and the fans are excited about it! The story follows the life of now-adult Ralphie, who returns to his Cleveland Street house, reconnecting with his long-lost friend and reminiscing about the good old days.

6. Holiday Harmony 

Holiday Harmony is another comedy-drama you can watch with your loved ones. The cast of Holiday Harmony includes Annelise Cepero and Jeremy Sumpter as Gail and Jeremy, respectively. Holiday Harmony was directed by Shaun Paul Piccinino and was released on 24 November 2022. Holiday Harmony is about a likeable and gifted underdog temporarily sidelined from pursuing her musical goals when her van breaks down in a lovely country town just before Christmas.

7. A Hollywood Christmas

A Hollywood Christmas, another holiday movie from HBO Max, will follow a budding director who has become well-known for her work on Christmas movies. A Scrooge-like network boss threatens her film, and the young director finds herself attempting to salvage Christmas and her Christmas movie. Directed by Alex Ranarivelo, A Holiday Christmas has a stellar star cast of Jessika Van and Josh Swickard as Jessica and Christopher in the lead roles. The movie was released on 1 December 2022

8. A Christmas Mystery

A Christmas Mystery, another holiday movie set in a tiny village for HBO Max, explores the legend around Santa's bells. The legend has it that near Pleasant Bay, Oregon, 100 years ago, a young child found a strip of Santa's bells, ushering in a century of luck and prosperity. But just a few days before Christmas, the town notices that the bells are gone, and it's up to a group of brave kids to locate them. A Christmas Mystery is directed by Alex Ranarivelo and stars Violet McGraw and Santino Barnard in lead roles. The release date of A Christmas Mystery is 24 November 2022

9. A Holiday Spectacular

A Holiday Spectacular is your typical Hallmark Film that will make you feel like you're in a mystical land filled with hopes and dreams. Directed by John Putch, A Holiday Spectacular has a stellar star cast which includes Ginna Claire Mason, Derek Klena, Sara Gallo and Tiffany Denise in the lead roles. Set in the year 1958, A Holiday Spectacular is a movie about Maggie, who secretly travels to New York City to fulfil a lifelong goal of hers: performing live on stage in the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular while postponing her high society wedding.

10. Your Christmas or Mine? 

Your Christmas or Mine is another new Christmas movie to add to your watchlist this Christmas! It is an Amazon Prime Original movie and stars Asa Butterfield (Sex Education Fame) and Cora Kirk as James and Hayley, respectively. Your Christmas or Mine is a story set during Christmas Eve and new lovers Hayley and James say goodbye in Marylebone Station, but they can't bear to spend Christmas apart, so they resolve to surprise one another by accidentally switching trains. They realise they will have to spend the entire Christmas season with each other's families as the snow starts to fall. Will their relationship endure as their secrets come to light?
