Christmas songs are the best way to get into the festive spirit. Hit play on these 10 songs to have a holly, jolly time as you bake holiday cookies and decorate the halls with your holiday decorating when it starts to feel a lot like Christmas and you hear that Santa Claus is coming to town. They'll have you humming around the Christmas tree, imagining a white Christmas, and promising your mother you'll be spending it with her in no time.

It's the most delightful time of the year for a Christmas songs playlist, whether you enjoy country Christmas songs, religious Christmas carols, traditional music, or new, hot chart toppers. There's no place like home for the holidays, so play your favourite songs all year long in your house, from "Jingle Bells" to "All I Want for Christmas is You”. Some of the songs on this list are among the most popular and are played on nearly every radio station in the area, yet some of the most stunning songs are among the less popular ones.

  1. All I Want For Christmas Is You By Mariah Carey

Since the release of her timeless song All I Want For Christmas Is You in 1994, one year after the release of her third album, Mariah has been irrevocably linked to the holiday. During the holidays, it's impossible to avoid hearing the song, which is about love and the hope for an unreachable day. It's played loudly at every opportunity by at least one friend or family member (who can't hit the high notes) and is played in the grocery store, on your vehicle radio, and everywhere else.

However, the song and Mariah herself seem to have become even more popular recently. Mariah will have her own holiday TV specials. She has dominated the Billboard charts for the past two years. The song has been remixed numerous times. Additionally, starting on November 1 of each year, she marks the start of "Mariah SZN," or Mariah Season, which has become a ritual online.

  1. Mistletoe By Justin Bieber

Mistletoe is a very lovely song sung by the Canadian singer Justin Bieber. Nasri and Adam Messinger collaborated to write and produce Mistletoe. It's a holiday tune that borrows musically from pop and R&B while incorporating reggae elements and soulful, acoustic R&B. Mistletoe has a bouncing pace of 80 beats per minute and is in common time. The song really gets you into a holiday mood and cheers you up with its pleasant music and beautiful lyrics.

  1. Last Christmas By Wham

The British musical group Wham! had a song called Last Christmas. initially appeared in December 1984 on CBS Records internationally and on Epic Records in the UK as a double A-side with "Everything She Wants." It was written and produced by George Michael and is regarded as a "high watermark of mid-80s British synthpop songcraft." Since its first release, several musicians have covered the song. "Last Christmas" spent five consecutive weeks at number two on the UK Singles Chart following its initial release in 1984.

  1. Santa Tell Me By Ariana Grande

This song will have you humming it for hours. Santa Tell Me has been on the charts every year since its release in 2014, cementing its status as one of the greatest pop Christmas songs ever written. The song was released by Ariana Grande to enhance the holiday season. Savan Kotecha, Ilya Salmanzadeh, and Grande wrote the script. The track was featured on the Japanese-only reissue of Ariana Grande's EP Christmas Kisses and was made available internationally on November 24, 2014, exclusively through the iTunes Store.

  1. Feliz Navidad By Joze Feliciano

Christmas isn't truly here until my father from Puerto Rico begins singing this while downing three glasses of boozy eggnog. According to Feliciano, "This small song has brought everyone together for some reason." "Because it's in Spanish, nobody can be offended that you made them sing Feliz Navidad. Because you made them sing the English part, nobody can be offended. I wanted to send you Christmas greetings. And I find it to be fantastic.

  1. Zat You, Santa Claus? By Louis Armstrong

Even though it was recorded by one of the greatest jazz musicians to ever live, this Crimbo song manages to maintain a surprise low profile when Christmas music is played. Louis wasn't particularly impressed either, but you know what? The song's upbeat, witty lyrics and bouncy trumpet lines demonstrate that he is having a good time. And ultimately, Christmas should be enjoyable. Well done, Louis. Let's hope Santa complies with your request to smuggle that very nice present under your door.

  1. Underneath the Tree By Kelly Clarkson

Even though Kelly Clarkson's excursion into holiday music is essentially a fresh version of Darlene Love's "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" mashed together with "All I Want for Christmas Is You," it manages to get away with it. Why? The songs' perfect balance of schmaltz and Spector-style sass is partly due to Clarkson's outstanding vocal performance, which also exudes an appealing honesty. Oh, and she briefly hits a high note near the end.

  1. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree By Brenda Lee

Another timeless holiday classic that rather unexpectedly came out of the 1950s' primarily fad-like, fleeting rockabilly craze Brenda Lee, who was thirteen at the time, has said that she doesn't understand why Johnny Marks was so anxious for her to perform this song. But even after more than 60 years, it is still a charming, vivacious classic that perfectly captures a child's enthusiasm for the holidays. Lee shouts about how much she is enjoying a holiday boogie.

  1. River By Joni Mitchell

Do you feel that burning the turkey last year ruined your Christmas? Keep Joni Mitchell in your prayers as she tries to flee the holiday cheer around her because she is depressed. This isn't going to be a joyride, and it's obvious from the piano introduction, which is a sorrowful rendition of "Jingle Bells," yet it's nonetheless lovely and delicate.

By the time the song is over, all you'll want to do is skate away with Joni (whose lament is heard again throughout the song) and do your part to mend her heart. It has been recorded by more than 500 people, making it one of her songs with the most covers.

  1. Do They Know It’s Christmas? By Band Aid

Phil Collins, Sting, Macca, Bono, and Midge Ure all contributed to Bob Geldof and Midge Ure's massive marketing machine in 1984 in response to the Ethiopian famine. Do They Know Christmas Is Coming? It was the biggest UK chart success of the decade, remaining at the top for five weeks. Ignore all of that, and it's also just a fantastic (and rather unorthodox) pop song, meteorological misconceptions about snow be damned.

Here were the top 10 songs that you should definitely tune in to this Christmas. Hope these songs would bring joy to your holiday season and make your Christmas more Christmassy and joyous.
