BGauss is a leading electric vehicle brand in India. Their parent company is R.R. Global a major machine manufacturer. BGauss provides a range of electric vehicles such as scooters which are not just eco-friendly but also premium, stylish and affordable.
BGauss was founded by Hemant Kabra. In 2023 they saw more than thirty-three thousand unit sales and keep selling higher each year. It is a made-in-India brand which is a hundred percent localized.
Electric vehicles are definitely seeing greater demand but many still see them as a rather niche category. The key challenge was to position an electric scooter as a cool and mainstream choice, that too during the festive season, an incredibly competitive time for brands to market their products.
Tring, India’s largest celebrity management agency works with over took up the challenge. BGauss approached us for two unique celebrity video ads. Given their objective, they wanted a popular influencer as well as a an actor with appeal across lingustic groups.
Given the challenge, we brought in Kamiya Jani, one of India’s top lifestyle influencers, for the first ad and Swwapnil Joshi, one of the best known contemporary Marathi actors.
By leveraging the power of one of India’s most significant influencers, BGauss saw higher footfalls to their showrooms as well as additional engagement on social media through the travel giveaway shared by Kamiya Jani in the video. Having Swwapnil Joshi helped the brand see more sales in Maharashtra, due to the Marathi ad featuring Swwapnil Joshi.
In this advertisement, Kamiya Jani was shown visiting a BGauss showroom to purchase a scooter. As she examined the vehicles, she complimented its design, colour and strength while emphasizing its non-polluting aspect.
She highlighted key features such as a battery range of 135 kilometers along with an extendable warranty of five years. The price being under one lakh rupees was also mentioned by her.
Kamiya Jani revealed to viewers that by visiting their nearest BGauss showroom they could avail a scratch and win offer to win a free scooter. Additionally, she mentioned the chance to win a trip to Dubai by filming a ride and sharing favorite features of the scooter on social media, tagging BGauss. The video with the most likes and shares would win.
This advertisement was meticulously planned by us. We first did the storyboarding and explained the kind of shots we would be taking to BGauss beforehand. The brand were satisfied with what we had prepared which captured all of the key features of the vehicle and gave us the go-ahead for the shoot promptly after.
With all our systems in place, the shoot took no more than two hours. Swwapnil Joshi brought is his on-screen charm, explaining the various USP's of the vehicle such as a dust and waterproof battery, adjustable shock aborbers and LED headlights. The advertisement was trilingual, with Joshi speaking in Marathi, Hindi and English, thus catering to varied audiences across India.
