The winner of India's Laughter Champion is Rajat Sood. The comic who is also known as the Pomedy King received the trophy and Rs 25 lakh in prize money for blending humor with poetry. Rajat Sood talked exclusively to IndiaToday about his experience filming the show.
Rajat said Most of the news is excessively optimistic insaan hoon. I thought I've come this far; I'll do my best. I'll concede that it was a difficult competition though. Such incredible abilities would frighten anyone yet I was centered on my conviction. I also always believed in giving my all which is how I was able to go to the finals and ultimately win the award.
Rajat also said that there are several instances. We used to watch humorous movie snippets from movies like Dhol and Dhamaal while I was a hostel student. We used to imitate and duplicate Rajpal Yadav. Rajpal Sir then appeared in my first episode as a guest. He also seemed to like what I did which was a special moment for me. I invited my parents to witness my shoot during the finals which was the first time they saw me perform and learned more about what I do. And as it happened I took home the prize. I will always hold a special place in my heart for that.
