Biography 

Rajpal Yadav is a talented Indian cinema actor best known for his humorous performances in Bollywood. He was born on March 16, 1971. Rajpal is the eldest of five siblings and hails from the little village of Kundra in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Despite originating from a low-income family, he developed an early interest in performing and pursued it with zeal.

Rajpal's acting career began when he enrolled at the Bhartendu Natya Academy, a prominent performing school in Lucknow. He continued his studies at the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi after completing a two-year degree. Rajpal decided to try his luck in the Mumbai film industry after graduating from NSD in 1997.

Rajpal Yadav made his acting debut in the 1999 television series Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne. His big break came with the film Jungle (2000), directed by Ram Gopal Varma, in which he played a bad guy. The incident occurred when Rajpal, riding a scooter for a scene, allegedly banged the scooter against a student. Following the incident, the film crew reportedly misbehaved with the student. The police were called to the scene, and the shooting was disrupted. The matter was later resolved with the intervention of local authorities. Although the incident garnered attention, it did not significantly impact Rajpal Yadav's public image or career.

• In 2010, Rajpal Yadav took a loan of INR 5 crore from a Delhi-based businessman, MG Agarwal, to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. However, Yadav failed to repay the loan, leading to a legal battle. In 2013, Rajpal was initially sentenced to 10 days in jail for filing a false affidavit in court during the case related to a bounced cheque. He was later granted bail, but the case continued. In 2018, the Delhi High Court sentenced Yadav to three months in jail for defaulting on the loan. During this time, Rajpal accepted his mistake and took responsibility for his actions. He served the jail term and stated that he did not want to carry the burden of the past.

• Rajpal Yadav used to travel 65 km by cycle to go to school as he had no penny to opt for a better mode of transportation. 

• In 2000, Rajpal Yadav decided to step behind the camera and directed the Hindi movie 'Ata Pata Lapata'.

•  Rajpal Yadav’s older brother had one rupee and Yadav took it and bought a lottery ticket. Later, his elder brother scolded him for this act. But the next day, Yadav won 65 rupees. And what did he do?  He returned 50 rupees to his brother and bought 10 more tickets and kept 5 rupees to himself.
