A Hindi Indian soap opera called Bade Achhe Lagte Hain ran on Sony Entertainment Television from May 30 2011 to July 10 2014. The soap opera was created and produced by Ekta Kapoor under the auspices of Balaji Telefilms and is based on the Gujarati drama Patrani by Imtiaz Patel.

The drama delves into the lives of Priya Sharma (Sakshi Tanwar) and Ram Kapoor (Ram Kapoor) who unintentionally fall in love after being married. Several new performers and characters notably Samir Kochhar and Amrita Mukherjee who played Rajat Kapur and Peehu respectively were introduced as the plot advanced five years in June 2012.

The sixth most-watched television program in India in 2011 is Bade Achhe Lagte Hain according to The Times of India. In 2012 the soap opera received the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Drama and the Kalakar Award for Best Serial.

Sakshi Tanwar’s Film Debut- Dangal (2016)

Dangal 2016 Hindi-language biographical sports drama film produced by Aamir Khan Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapur directed by Nitesh Tiwari and distributed by The Walt Disney Company India. Khan plays Mahavir Singh Phogat in the movie a pehlwani amateur wrestler who develops Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari into India's first elite female wrestlers.

All of the actors except Tanwar and Sahore who are making their film debuts play the adult versions of the two Phogat sisters Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar's younger selves Sakshi Tanwar's role as their mother and Aparshakti Khurana's adult version of their cousin Ritvik Sahore.

The 2018 Hindi-language comedic drama film Mohalla Assi which stars Sunny Deol and Sakshi Tanwar was written and directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi. 

The movie is partially based on the well-known Hindi novel Kashi Ka Assi by Dr. Kashi Nath Singh a parody of the commercialization of pilgrimage cities and bogus gurus who entice Western tourists. 

The movie is based on a renowned and ancient Mohalla (locality) beside the ghat on the southern end of Banaras. Assi Ghat is a ghat in Varanasi (Banaras) on the banks of the Ganges River. The movie featuring Ravi Kishen and Sakshi Tanwar is set in the immediate aftermath of independence. 

After multiple delays Mohalla Assi was finally released on November 16 2018.

The 2021 Hindi-language thriller Dial 100 is directed by Rensil D'Silva and produced by Siddharth P. Malhotra Sapna Malhotra and Sony Pictures Films India. Manoj Bajpayee Neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar play the three main characters in the movie. The movie debuted on ZEE5 on August 6 2021. It was influenced by the Danish movie The Guilty.
