Subodh is a Marathi actor and filmmaker who has worked primarily in Marathi cinema theater and television as well as in the Hindi and Malayalam film industries. Subodh Bhave is in Pune and currently resides in Mumbai.

He began his career as a salesman for a small IT company called Inika Technologies in Koregaon Park (Pune) and later transitioned to acting. Subodh is best known for playing social reformer and freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak in the acclaimed biopic Lokmanya-Ek Yug Purush (2015) as well as the titular role in the biographical drama Bal Gandharva (2011). In a career spanning more than a decade he has appeared in approximately 50 films and made his directorial debut with the musical drama Katyar Kaljat Ghusali in 2007.

His directorial debut was a critical and commercial success; it was screened at several prestigious film festivals including the International Film Festival of India and it was one of the year's highest-grossing films.

Marriage

Subodh fell in love with Manjiri when he was 10 years old and Manjiri was in the eighth grade at the time. Subodh proposed to Manjiri in a letter saying Sugar is sugar salt is salt what is my fault if I love you? After four days Manjiri said yes to Subodh. Manjiri moved to Canada after a few years and Subodh decided to work in the theater to pass the time. 

The couple married after five years of long-distance dating. Subodh and Manjiri recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. The actor had a smoking habit in college which Manjiri despised. As a result when Subodh began smoking during one of their meetings Manjiri abruptly left without saying anything.

So Subodh promised her that he would stop smoking by writing a letter in his blood.Subodh even mentioned that he still has cut marks on his hands while recounting this incident.

Subodh said in an interview that Manjiri is a wonderful young lady. She has an uncanny ability to keep people together. She is a natural multitasker handling multiple responsibilities with enviable ease—something I could never do. Manjiri not only values people but also treats them with the compassion and kindness they deserve. I believe she is ideal for me. She keeps me in check.

Mahatma Basweshwar (1990)

Alka Kubal Subodh Bhave Ravi Mahajan Ashwini Ekbote Smita Tambe Prakash Khude Ashok Shinde Balaji Deshpande and other actors can be seen in the Marathi feature film Mahatma Basweshwar.

The film is produced by Sudarshan Biradar and Kashinathrao Pictures and directed by Prakash Ghopatkar. The first day of 1990 saw the release of this film.

Aamhi Asu Ladke (2005)

The movie Aamhi Asu Ladke which was written produced and directed by Abhiram Bhadkamkar is heavily influenced by Reason and Life. The gap between young people's talents and their parents' expectations is explored in this movie. The movie is based on a group of mentally challenged kids. 

According to Mr. Bhandamkar he started writing and the story came to him in a stream of consciousness. The narrative is also based on his personal experiences and Abhiram himself is reflected in the character Abhijeet. Shan (2006)

This film is directed by Mandar Devasthali. The stars are Subodh Bhave Deepa Parab Prasad Oak and more. Vihang is in love with the affluent Nilambari the sole child of Madan Barve while leading a meager lifestyle and working for a private company. When he first meets her parents they are supportive of him but after learning that he resigned from his job to concentrate on singing they become less so.

They arrange for Nilambari to get married to the affluent Nikhil Adhikari while forbidding her from meeting with him. Three years later Nilambari and Vihang cross paths once more. By this point Vihang is a well-known and popular singer who is still deeply in love with her even though she is still married to Nikhil.

Nilambari receives an invitation to visit Vihang on the day of her birthday August 2 and he presents her with a special gift that he has been saving for her. In return Nilambari gets ready to give Vihang a special gift on his birthday August 3 the very next day—a gift that could lead to tension between the couple.

Shri Siddhivinayak Mahima (2007)

The film is directed by Arun Nalawade. Madhav and his wife Madhavi lead a middle-class lifestyle. Both of them had a kid named Pintu who died yet Madhavi finds it difficult to accept his passing. Sunil the film producer for whom Madhav works wants him to turn a documentary about Bhagwan Shri Siddhivinayak into a profitable venture.

Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad (2009)

A Marathi movie titled Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad was published in 2009. The story for the movie was written by Girish Girija Joshi the dialogue was written by Kiran Yadnyopavit and Suresh Deshmane handled the cinematography. Satish Rajwade is the film's director. Zee Talkies Shree Mangesh Films and Ashok Saraf are the film's producers. Vishwajeet-Avinash provided the soundtrack for the film.

Balgandharva (2011)

The Marathi biopic Balgandharva is about Bal Gandharva a well-known Marathi singer and stage performer Narayan Shripad Rajhans. After hearing Narayan play in public in Pune when he was quite young Lokmanya Tilak gave him the name.

The movie's director Ravi Jadhav debuted with the critically acclaimed and financially successful Natarang. Nitin Chandrakant Desai the National Award-winning Art Director is in charge of producing the movie under the auspices of Iconic Chandrakant Productions Pvt. Ltd. At the box office the movie was deemed a super hit.

The film is a biopic about the life of Balgandharva depicting his journey from poverty to riches and fame. Narayan Rajhans receives his new honor and name Balgandharva during a public performance of his singing in Pune. He begins formal training and joins Kirloskar Natak Mandali on the advice of Shahu Maharaj the king of Kolhapur state. Narayan receives applause from his audience and is named the star of all Sangeet Nataks. 

To appease his mother Narayan marries Laxmi. His infant daughter dies on the first day of his play Sangeet Manapamaan (12 March 1911). But he continues with the performance and captivates the audience. Due to disagreements within the company Narayan decides to form his own company Gandharva Natak Mandali.

Balak Palak (2013)

Play

A 2013 Marathi comedy-drama film about sex education is called Balak-Palak (BP). Ravi Jadhav is the film's director and Riteish Deshmukh Uttung Thakur and Ravi Jadhav are its producers. Riteish Deshmukh an actor produced this movie for the first time. Ganesh Pandit and Amber Hadap wrote the narrative. Mahesh Limaye shot Balak Palak.

The letters of the movie's title (BP) also serve as a supplementary allusion to blue pictures or low-resolution pornographic flicks that were accessible on videotape in South Asia in the 1980s. Katyar Kaljat Ghusali (2015)

The 2015 Indian Marathi-language epic musical drama film Katyar Kaljat Ghusali is based on the same-named play. Featuring Sachin Pilgaonkar Shankar Mahadevan and Subodh Bhave in the key parts the movie is directed by Subodh Bhave. Bhave makes his directing debut with the movie and Shankar Mahadevan makes his theatrical acting debut. Vasantrao Deshpande a singer of Hindustani classical music portrayed one of the main characters in the original play which was written by Purushottam Darvhekar and debuted in 1967 in Mumbai. 

Rahul Deshpande the grandson of Vasantrao Deshpande and singer Mahesh Kale starred as the play's protagonist in its 2010 relaunch. Some of the songs from the original play which was composed by Jitendra Abhisheki were included in Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's for the movie.

The movie is one of the 26 films chosen to screen at the 46th International Film Festival of India in Goa. The film was also a candidate for the Fellini medal awarded by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Hrudayantar (2017)

Hrudayantar is a 2017 Indian Marathi-language drama film directed by Vikram Phadnis and produced by TOABH Entertainment Young Berry Entertainment Imtiaz Khatri Purvesh Sarnaik and Vikram Phadnis Productions. The lead actors in the movie are Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve.

Bollywood fashion designer Vikram Phadnis also makes his directorial debut with this movie. Barve and Bhave have previously collaborated on two projects: the movie Ek Daav Dhobi Pachhad and the Marathi television program Agnishikha from 2006. This is their third project together. On July 7 2017 the movie came out. It was Hrithik Roshan's first Marathi movie and he appeared in it as a guest.

Vijeta (2020)

Amol Shetge directed this Indian Marathi-language sports drama film which Rahul Puri produced through Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts with Suresh Pai serving as a co-producer. The story of sports coach Soumitra and his athletic colleagues who are all preparing to win gold for Maharashtra is told in the movie starring Subodh Bhave Sushant Shelar and Pooja Sawant. Subodh exhorts them to concentrate more on their mental fortitude than their bodily fortitude.

The film's presenter Subhash Ghai announced it during the opening ceremony of the 12th Goa Marathi Film Festival in June 2019 by revealing the first look poster. The main shooting started in August 2019. On March 12 2020 the movie was released in theaters.

Har Har Mahadev (2022)

Abhijeet Deshpande is the writer and director of this epic historical action drama film in the Indian Marathi language. Zee Studios and Sunil Phadtare produced it under the production company's Shree Ganesh Marketing and Films label.

The movie is based on the inspiring true account of the Battle of Pavan Khind in which only 300 warriors under the command of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's commander Baji Prabhu Deshpande engaged 12 000 Bijapuri soldiers.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises broadcast a Marathi romance-drama thriller television series created by Aparna Ketkar and Atul Ketkar and directed by Girish Mohite and Chandrakant Gaikwad.

An Indian Marathi television serial opera called Chandra Aahe Sakshila has been broadcast on Colors Marathi since November 11 2020. Subodh Bhave Rutuja Bagwe and Nakshatra Medhekar played the key characters.

To inform his fans the Antim star posted a photo of himself with Team Niravadhi on Instagram. The cast and crew of Niravadhi are seen posing with the film's poster in the photograph. Mahesh Manjrekar also revealed in his post that the film will be released in 2023.

The movie is scheduled to premiere on March 22 2023.Subodh will play the role of Vikram Rajadhyaksha in the movie. Subodh Bhave noted Every role gave me a different identity when discussing his role. I always prioritized roles that deviated from the script. I accepted to play the role as soon as writer-director Vishwas Joshi described the plot of Phulrani and the idea behind my part.

In recent events screenings of the Marathi film Har Har Mahadev by Subodh Bhave and Sharad Kelkar were halted in Thane and Pune.Members of a Maratha group interrupted the performance in Pune and Jitendra Awhad a former housing minister and leader of the NCP is accused of organizing activists to prevent the movie from showing in Thane on Monday night.

The NCP MLA claimed that to generate political hysteria the movie misrepresented Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's history.He also criticized the film's creators for portraying Baji Prabhu Deshpande negatively. According to Awhad the relationship between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Baji Prabhu is misrepresented in the film.
