Amar Singh Chamkila is an upcoming 2024 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film about the life of musician Amar Singh Chamkila. It is directed and co-produced by Imtiaz Ali. Diljit Dosanjh plays the title role in the film, which also stars Parineeti Chopra as his wife. It is set to premiere on Netflix on April 12, 2024.  A. R. Rahman is the composer of the soundtrack.

In Amar Singh Chamkila, the film traces the life of a modest singer played by Diljit Dosanjh, whose bold lyrics led him to stardom and controversy throughout Punjab. As he navigates the heights of fame, he also faces harsh criticism. The movie explores his journey through the peaks of his career and the lows of public scrutiny, leading up to his premature death, weaving a tale of talent, controversy, and legacy.

The first poster and the release date were announced on February 26, 2024. The teaser was released on May 30, 2023.  The film will be released on Netflix on April 12, 2024, in celebration of Baisakhi.

• Diljit Dosanjh - Diljit Dosanjh is a multi-talented Indian artist, known for his Punjabi songs, films, and as a TV personality. He started his career in 2002 and got famous with hit albums like Smile and Chocolate. Diljit then moved to acting, rising to fame with movies like Jatt & Juliet 2 and Punjab 1984, some of the biggest Punjabi film hits. He stepped into Bollywood with Udta Punjab in 2016, winning a Filmfare for Best Male Debut. He's judged on Rising Star, released a Billboard-charting album G.O.A.T., and made history performing at Coachella in 2023.
