Pati Patni Aur Woh Remake is a Bollywood romantic drama directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role along with Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday. In this film, Kartik Aaryan plays the role of 'Pati', Bhumi Pednekar plays the role of 'Patni' and Ananya Panday plays the role of 'Woh'.

When 'Woh' comes between the Pati and the Patni, the story of the film begins.

An everyday middle-class citizen from Kanpur named Abhinav "Chintu" Kumar Tyagi works as an engineer for the Public Works Department (PWD). He was wed to Lucknow-born teacher Vedika Tripathi. Despite his authoritarian parents' refusal to plan a family and Vedika's desire to relocate to a large city, Chintu is content.

Chintu, who is under pressure and dissatisfied with his routine, finds solace in Tapasya Singh, a Delhi-based ambitious fashion designer who is linked to his boss and who visited to choose a plot for the launch of her fashion company. Chintu vows to live life to the fullest after feeling pulled to her. He tells her a story about Vedika having an affair with Rakesh Yadav, who is a classmate who is madly in love with her.

Chintu and Tapasya go out together and have fun. Though Chintu makes sure that Vedika does not catch them together she eventually does see them together. She keeps this to herself and does not let anyone know about it. Vedika, who left her ex-boyfriend Durgesh "Doga" Kanojia, a local womanizer, for Chintu, runs into him at her cousin Kanupriya's wedding. The two decide to relocate to Canada after leaving their nation. Chintu visits Tapasya's friends at her home in Delhi in the meantime. She seduces a drunk Chintu and is ready to kiss him, but Chintu is restrained by his conscience as they leave the club after partying there.

Vedika informs Chintu that she is leaving him, and she is aware of his betrayal. By the time Chintu recognizes what he has done to her, it is too late. Chintu recognizes his affection for her. He visits Vedika's parents inconsolably with his best friend Fahim, but as they arrive, they are given her letter, in which she announces that she is eloping with Doga. Chintu leaves Tapasya and tells her that she could never fill up Vedika’s space. 

He is spared by Tapasya, who says that she will refrain from slapping him despite her want to do so because he did not engage in sexual activity with her while in Delhi. He learns that Doga is the one traveling to Canada and that this was part of Doga's strategy to convince him of Vedika's value. He receives Vedika's pardon, and they come back together.

Reviews

Pati Patni aur voh has received very mixed reviews. A part of the audience says that the movie was a total hit whereas some people find it to be very monotonous and nonsense. This remake directed by Mudassar Aziz is set in Kanpur and the director has made serious attempts to add the local element in the characters and the movie as well. The use of street slang like ‘Kantap’ adds the much-needed desi element. 

When it comes to acting Kartik Aaryan makes a charming presence and delivers his oh-so-famous “Kartik Aaryan Monologue”. When it comes to Bhumi Pednekar as Vedika Tripathi we can say that she got into the character thereby excelling in her role. Ananya who just made an entry into Bollywood had an improved performance. 

The movie is lighthearted, and the director made sure there were enough funny dialogue and witty one-liners to attract the audience. He kept the storyline straightforward and avoided becoming overly didactic.

When it comes to ratings, the film was rated on the lower side. The IMBD rating of the film was 5.8/10 and the rotten tomatoes ratings were 43%
