Prem (Salman Khan) is the only heir to a vast business that his father and uncles possess, and the story of "Ready," which is set amidst the alluring locations of Thailand, centers on him. Prem's father wants him to get married and start a family, but he plans to make the most of being single.
Prem’s family started looking for a girl through their family’s Guruji and found an appropriate girl named Pooja. Prem was asked to pick her up from the airport but he deliberately went to the wrong terminal to avoid her. This is where Sanjana (Asin) comes into the picture. At the wrong terminal was talking to his uncle about avoiding the girl but Sanjana overhears this conversation and intrudes on Prem and his uncle claiming to be Pooja. With her wits and smartness, she convinced Prem’s whole family that she was pooja.
In reality, Sanjana is an orphan and her uncles are after her inheritance. So to do away from them she runs from her own marriage and finds Prem as a safe person at that point in time.
Amar Choudhary (Akhilendra Mishra) and Suraj Choudhary (Sharat Saxena), opposing maternal uncles of Sanjana, make an effort to find her. To inherit her money, each uncle wants Sanjana to wed their respective brother-in-law. Sanjana and Prem get a lift in Mr. Lehri's (Sudesh Lehri) car to flee Suraj Chaudhary's goons. While eluding the thugs, Prem puts Aryan, the son of Suraj, into a coma. Mr. Lehri assists Suraj Choudhary in finding out who fled with Sanjana.
When Prem discovers Sanjana's true identity by that point, she tells him about her uncle's attempts to arrange for her marriage. Sanjana and Prem fall in love and decide to get married. But her uncle Suraj Chaudhary abducts her. After discovering her true identity, the Kapoors decide to keep her as Prem's wife. Sanjana is reassured by Prem that she should stay with her uncle and that he will find a way to marry her and bring her entire family back together.
Later on, Prem’s family also learns about Sanjana’s reality. They accept Sanjana and want her to marry Prem. Sanjana’s Uncles take Sanjana with themselves but Prem assures her that he’ll get her back and marry.
Prem poses as the nephew of Bali, a chartered accountant who works for Sanjana's uncles, CA Balidaan Bhardwaaj (Paresh Rawal), a.k.a. Bali. In order to prevent either of their brothers-in-law from marrying Sanjana, Prem persuades Suraj and Amar Chaudhary. Instead, he recommends K.K. and B.K. Modi's daughters as potential brides for the two brothers-in-law. K.K. and B.K. Modi is actually Prem's dad and uncle in disguise, but the Choudharies are unaware of this. To mislead Sanjana's family into approving their marriage to Prem, Prem has the rest of his family assume different roles. Furthermore, he succeeds in altering the unfavorable sentiments of the Chaudhary family.
In the end, Aryan gets out of Coma and reveals the whole truth. A physical fight proceeds to a conversation Prem has with Sanjana’s uncles wherein they realize that all this while they were wrong and allowed Sanjana to marry Prem.
Ready, a fully functional commercial film, is certain to amuse large audiences. It is an absolute laughing fit. This masala movie is humorous and pretty engaging because the spices were put in the right amounts. Despite being a little unclear, the movie has an intriguing plot.
Some critics find the movie to be unprepared and unpretentious. They say that the movie is not inventive rather it has a very predictable storyline of a hero saving the heroine from the villains.
Salman Khan plays a very real-life role of an eligible bachelor and is fit for this role. Asin’s acting was also good. Paresh Rawal added a lot of humor and drama to the film.
The action scenes are something to discuss. With commendable action scenes the movie gets an amazing review in terms of action.
The film holds a little low rating of 4.8/10 on IMDB and 30% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Hence it can be said that the movie can be a one-time watch but for Salman Khan fans the film is a win-win.

Salman Khan not only acted in the film but also narrated it.
As the second-highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2011, it now holds the record.
Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, and Kangana, who were filming for Rascals at the time, were asked to make a cameo by Salman Khan.
Due to Salman Khan's eye condition, the second schedule of the movie was shortened because Anees Bazmee wanted him to fully heal.
Prior to Salman Khan's request, the film was scheduled to be shot in Mauritius.
Although Paresh Rawal lost his mother while filming, he had to continue because he was a professional, and the worst thing was having to shoot comedic moments.
It is a remake of Sreenu Vaitla's 2008 Telugu film Ready, which starred Ram and Genelia. The film was an immediate hit and a top earner in 2008.
