Plot

F.I.R. stands for First information report, which the Indian police prepares for investigating each case. A Haryanvi female police officer named Chandramukhi Chautala and her three subordinates, Head Constable Gopinath Gandothra, Constable Mulayam Singh Gulgule, and Constable Billu later joined the Chowki, are the focus of the situational comedy serial F.I.R. The program portrayed their daily lives as they attempted to resolve each crime brought to Imaan Chowki, a police station in Ravanpur.

In every episode, new cases are brought to the police station. A person or a group approaches with a grievance or an issue. Chandramukhi Chautala and her officers successfully resolve their case. Additionally, Chandramukhi Chautala's romantic relationships with the Chief Inspectors of Imaan Chowki (each one at a time) were depicted in the program. The first was Hanuman Prasad Pandey, who had a one-sided relationship with Chandramukhi. The second was Raj Aaryan, who had a one-sided relationship with Raj; and the third was Bajrang Pandey, who shared a romantic relationship with Chandramukhi but is afraid to confess it.

It is revealed that Chandramukhi and Bajrang Pandey got married in Gopi's dream, in which Chandramukhi leaves the police station after 20 years, and her daughter Jwalamukhi Chautala is appointed as the new inspector. The dream lasted for roughly 70 episodes. A few more of Chandramukhi's love angles with Chief Inspectors were continued after the new normals, first with Bhola Pandit and later with her previous love Bajrang Pandey.
