Introduction

Kasautii Zindagi Ki is an Indian soap television series created by Ekta Kapoor and distributed by Balaji Telefilms. It was a re-imagining of Kapoor's 2001 soap drama of the same name. It broadcast on Star Plus from September 25, 2018 to October 3, 2020. Parth Samthaan, Erica Fernandes, Hina Khan, Karan Singh Grover, Aamna Sharif, and Karan Patel featured in the show.

Plot 

Kasauti Zindagi Ki is an Indian television series that follows the story of Anurag and Prerna, two individuals who are destined to be together but are forced to go through various obstacles to be with each other.

The series begins with the introduction of Anurag, a successful business tycoon who falls in love with Prerna, a simple girl who works as a manager in his company. However, their love story faces many challenges, including Anurag's engagement to Komolika, a manipulative woman who is obsessed with him.

Prerna, on the other hand, is in a committed relationship with Naveen, a corrupt politician who wants to marry her for his own selfish reasons. Despite these obstacles, Anurag and Prerna continue to love each other and try to find a way to be together. 

As the story progresses, Anurag and Prerna face several trials and tribulations, including the revelation that Naveen is actually Komolika's brother and the mastermind behind their separation. Anurag and Prerna's love is put to the test when they are forced to choose between their families and their own happiness. 

Komolika, determined to win Anurag's love, creates havoc in their lives by manipulating situations and people around them. She also teams up with Ronit, a criminal who is hired by Naveen to kill Anurag. Despite all the difficulties, Anurag and Prerna fight for their love and ultimately manage to overcome all the obstacles.

Towards the end of the series, Anurag and Prerna finally get married, but their happiness is short-lived as they face new challenges in the form of Mr. Bajaj, a business rival of Anurag's who is secretly in love with Prerna. Anurag and Prerna's love is once again put to the test as they try to navigate their way through this new challenge.

The series ends with Anurag and Prerna finally managing to overcome all the obstacles and living happily ever after.

Character Analysis 

Prerna Sharma: Prerna, played by actress Shweta Tiwari, is the female lead character of the show. She is a simple and sweet girl from a middle-class family who falls in love with Anurag. Prerna is depicted as a kind-hearted and caring person who is always willing to help others. She is also shown to be resilient and strong-willed, and she often stands up for herself and those she loves. Prerna's character undergoes many challenges throughout the show, including betrayal, heartbreak, and tragedy, but she always manages to bounce back and remain true to herself.

Anurag Basu: Anurag, played by actor Cezanne Khan, is the male lead character of the show. He is depicted as a charming and intelligent young man from a wealthy family who falls deeply in love with Prerna. Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes beautifully fit into the shoes of punctual Anurag and carefree Prerna, said Shweta Kesari of India Today. The show's majesty and magnificence will leave you speechless. The filmmakers attempted to capture the spirit of Kolkata and Bengalis. Overall, the show is a full package of soap opera entertainment!

According to Soumya Srivastava of the Hindustan Times, the performance is louder and garnish, and the background score is excessive. It plays for no apparent purpose and far too frequently. Whether the situation calls for it or not, a joyful, somber, or comical tone is always present to trick your brain into believing that this is how you should feel right now.

Times Now remarked that, The reboot takes you in the lives of Anurag and Prerna that were part of our everyday lives and the first episode is all about nostalgia of the epic Kasautii Zindagii Kay.
