Bebaakee (also known as Madness) is a drama web series that is presented in the Hindi language. Muzammil Desai is the show's director, and Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor are the show's producers. Balaji Telefilms is the production company. In the leading parts are actors Kushal Tandon, Karan Jotwani, and Shiv Jyoti Rajput, who is making her acting debut. On the 30th of August, 2020, ZEE5 and ALTBalaji began streaming the first eight episodes of the show, then on the 2nd of September, 2020, they began streaming the ninth and tenth episodes. The following five episodes were made available for download on the 12th of October, 2020, while the remaining sixteen episodes of the first season were made available for download on the 11th of December, 2020. The second season of the show will be produced, but there is no word yet on when it will be made available to viewers.

The unshakable links of love, friendship, brotherhood, and even hatred are all beautifully depicted on this show. As the story progresses, we learn from the characters and the family that sometimes the ties that bind us the most tightly may also be the most easily broken, and that the ones who are closest to us can do the greatest harm.

 Sufiyaan Abdullah (Kushal Tandon), Kainaat Sahani (Shivjyoti Rajput), and Imtiaz Alqaazi (Karan Jotwani) are three extremely different yet equally powerful and stubborn characters who live in Shimla. Sufiyaan is a womaniser who comes from a wealthy but complicated setup. This makes him distrustful of love and girls because he saw his father cheat on his mother with his aunt when he was a child, and he is cheating on his second wife as well. Kainaat, on the other hand, is a beautiful journalist who comes from a family that is both simple and loving, and she has clear priorities and goals for her life. Imtiaz Alqaazi, Sufiyaan's best friend and a pleasant, kind, and bright individual who immediately connects with Kainaat, completes the trio. Kainaat and Imtiaz share a deep friendship. Both Adil and Farhad, the dads of Sufiyan and Imitiaz, have spent their entire lives being close friends with one another. They treat each other like family, and their children do the same. They live in the same house and are co-owners of the massive media conglomerate known as United India.

When the three people are caught up in a love triangle, it calls into question not only their own love and friendship but also the love and togetherness of their family. This causes all three lives to be altered. The show focuses on Sufiyaan's "bebaak pyaar," which translates to "obsession, madness, or insanity," as well as his willingness to acquire what he wants regardless of the repercussions.

Release

The first 8 episodes of Bebaakee were released on ZEE5 and Alt Balaji on August 30, 2020, then on the 2nd of September, 2020, they began streaming the ninth and tenth episodes. The following five episodes were made available on the 12th of October, 2020, while the remaining sixteen episodes of the first season were made available for download on the 11th of December, 2020.

Review

Bebakee works hard to be different while Imtiaz seeks to outsmart and undermine Kaaiynaat. Those are the show's few highlights. In this predictable scenario, their characters' rivalry and fights add plot twists. In an elaborate family setup, well-groomed males mean business, dressed neatly in crisp suits, while feuding ladies in flamboyant costumes plot and plan petty politics or watch. One is conniving and hoity-toity, one is naïve, and one is the doting maa who can do no wrong. Even in a "news" workplace, there is no hurry. It's so fake and soap-opera-like that it doesn't feel real.

Its 25-minute episodes are the greatest part. Unlike previous Balaji series, each episode progresses forward.

Shimla hosts the first several episodes. Witnessing Shimla's snow-clad mountains with greenery and snow-covered roads makes us want to pack our bags and visit the wonderful place. Returning to the show, the creators seamlessly combined Sufi and Kainaat's naive love with the holy site.

Cinematography and lighting suit the story. From Eid to Sufi Namaz, the show's depiction of Muslim culture is impressive. Writers handle the details.

Dialogues are really good and hit the heart. "Pyaar mein koi hadd Nahi Hoti; woh bas Ek Junoon hota hai," says Sufi. "Ishq Kar paana har Ek ke bass ki baat nahin."

Another passionate Sufi discourse is "Duniya kahe isse Ishq aur pagalpan..par mere liye yeh Bebaakee hai."

Character Analysis

Kushal Tandon as Sufiyaan Abdullah

In the show "Bebaakee," the character of Sufiyaan Abdullah is multi-faceted and intricate. He came from an affluent family and is a young man who exudes self-assurance and has lofty career goals. The character of Sufiyaan is one who is represented as being bright, charming, and endowed with a powerful personality.

Sufiyaan is an aspiring entrepreneur who is driven by his enthusiasm for business and has a natural talent for the role. He is a co-owner of a successful media company, and he is committed to growing that company to even greater heights of achievement. Sufiyaan has a reputation for being an ambitious person who is not afraid to take chances or act in a courageous manner in order to accomplish his objectives.

On the other hand, despite Sufiyaan's seemingly unshakeable self-assurance, he is revealed to be emotionally fragile. He carries the weight of a turbulent background, and his relationship with his family is fraught with tension and complication. The troubled relationship that Sufiyaan has with his father gives his character more dimension and plays a role in determining his behaviour throughout the series.

His bond with Kainaat is one that is powerful and driven by emotion. The internal struggles and problems that Sufiyaan experiences lend a layer of depth to his portrayal and lend his character a degree of relatability.

Shiv Jyoti Rajput as Kainaat Sahni

Shiv Jyoti Rajput is the one who brings "Bebaakee"'s essential character, Kainaat Sahni, to life on the screen. Kainaat is a lady who has a strong will and is independent. She possesses a feeling of tenacity and is able to bounce back from difficult situations. She gives off the impression of being someone who is self-assured, forthright, and fearless to share her ideas.

Kainaat is a journalist by profession . She has a lot of enthusiasm for her work and is very committed to her profession. The fact that Kainaat makes a living as a researcher reflects not only her brilliance but also her curiosity and her drive to uncover the truth.

When it comes to her romantic life, Kainaat is in the middle of a tricky love triangle with Sufiyaan Abdullah and Imtiaz Alqaazi. Both men have feelings for her. Her connection with Sufiyaan is one that is characterised by passion, intensity, and a roller coaster of emotions, but her relationship with Imtiaz is predicated more on friendship and mutual comprehension. Karan Jotwani as Imtiaz Alqaazi

Karan Jotwani portrays Imtiaz Alqaazi, a major character in "Bebaakee" who plays a significant role in the lives of other characters in the series. Imtiaz Alqaazi is a huge influence on the lives of other characters in the series. The character of Imtiaz is shown as one who is kind, helpful, and encouraging, and who places a high importance on friendship and faithfulness.

Working with such talented senior performers is an honour. They taught me lots. I learned to improvise and act by observing them. They've worked hard to get where they are. This inspires and motivates freshmen like me.”

Pratik Sehajpal, who plays Raahil Abdullah, says, “With Bebaakee being my first-ever experience and my first proper show, my excitement went through the roof when I went to shoot with them on the first day. Since then, I've only learned from these veteran actors. They're like family and teachers. I’m grateful to be part of a production with such big-hearted actors.”
