Eternally Confused and Eager for Love is an Indian comedy-drama streaming television series created and directed by Rahul Nair, produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti under the banner of Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films. It stars Vihaan Samat as Ray and Jim Sarbh in a voice role as Ray's inner voice Wiz, with Dalai, Ankur Rathee, Rahul Bose and Suchitra Pillai in supporting roles. The series premiered on Netflix on 18 March 2022.
Ray, 24, is back from college and working as a financial analyst, settling into a dull routine that his wealthy parents would approve of. He just has to find the right person, fall in love, get married, have kids, and so on... Ray believes he is average-looking despite the impending normalcy. He feels his face is weird and uneven, hence no girl will ever glance at him. If he can't even look at a lady without freaking out, what's the point of his ideal job?
Ray consults Wiz, a toy wizard, in emergencies. Ray’s inner voice, Wiz, questions everything. Ray's higher power, Wiz, cannot aid him.
Today, love is lightspeed. Ray may like a girl's Instagram photo, fall in love, and be heartbroken in minutes. Hopeless romantics, are things simpler or more complicated? Ray wants sex or love? Ray values romance, but his approach to love is unromantic.
When Ray decides to do something about his single status, his parents, full of hope, hook him up with a close family friend's daughter, starting a journey he can't handle.
Ray is helped by his best friend Riya, the type of girl Ray would probably be in love with if he hadn't known her for so long; his closest work colleague Varun, a confident and handsome version of Ray; and his parents Gaurav and Meena, riding the carousel of their successful married lives, constantly arguing and yet somehow dropping great advice when Ray needs it most.
However, when Ray stands before a lovely young woman waiting for him to speak, everything evaporates. No cities, dating apps, parents, friends, or inner voice.

Vihaan Samat's main performance as Ray, a 25-year-old young guy who is appallingly and oddly unsuccessful with women despite his friendly, awkward charm, is what makes the Netflix series enormously binge-worthy. Samat plays Ray as a young man who is appallingly and curiously unsuccessful with women. But Jim Sarbh is the real highlight of the show. His zany performance as the voice of Ray's imagined wizard friend serves as a running commentary on the protagonist's many unsuccessful attempts to find romantic fulfilment. The way that Sarbh modulates her voice is just delightful, and it is unquestionably the most memorable aspect of an otherwise excellent series.
In the present over-the-top (OTT) market, which is flooded with thrillers and mysteries, Eternally Confused and Eager for Love is quite a pleasant break because of its lighthearted and easygoing attitude. The majority of the actors in the series are up to the task at hand. The show does not even come close to becoming depressing or trying to teach its viewers anything. Vihaan Samat as Ray
Ray (Vihaan Samat) is not an unattractive, dim-witted, or clumsy person in any way. It is unclear why he is so insecure about his appearance and so eager to find a partner. He has three buddies, all of whom provide counsel that could be considered dubious.
Ray is unquestionably plagued by poor levels of both self-esteem and confidence. He is always doubting himself and can't see why anyone would ever want to go out on a date with someone like him. His self-conscience bothers him to the point that he has been known to cancel on a date with a woman solely on the basis that he considers the woman to be "crazy" for agreeing to go out with him.
Ray has only two friends: one is a friend from high school who he turns to for all of his life difficulties, and the other is a friend from work who provides him the finest possible advice on dating.
Ray is in his 20s and is experiencing sexual dissatisfaction. In addition to this, he has never been sexually intimate with a woman, which is something that brings him great shame. As a result, he is actively dating a nice girl while simultaneously endeavouring to end his status as a virgin. But things escalate from bad to worse since he always manages to get off on the wrong foot.
When someone shows interest in Ray, Ray starts to have self-doubt and uncertainty, and the voice of Wiz in the back of his head adds to the self-doubt and uncertainty with a hilariously sarcastic and humorous hint of humour.
