Plot

DCP Kabir Malik and his senior officer, Joint CP Vikram Bakshi, go on to investigate a series of bomb blasts in Delhi on Delhi Police Raising Day. Zarar, an Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist residing under the alias Haider with his wife Nafeesa, carried out the serial blasts. Vikram and Kabir halt part of the six serial bombs and are ordered to work with Vikram's classmate, Tara Shetty, the ATS Chief of Gujarat. They track down a suspect named Shadab using sketches and witness testimony, and they also learn about his hiding place from an undercover officer.

Later, Kabir and Vikram decide to take their own lead without consulting Tara. However, their operation results in a heated exchange between the agents and Zarar's associates. Zarar kidnaps a child after killing most of his associates and arresting Shadab, and then shoots Vikram twice. Vikram succumbs to his injuries and dies. Kabir has an internal fight with Tara and is pulled from the case. Following a series of explosions in Jaipur, Kabir joins forces to investigate, and his tireless pursuit leads him to suspect Zarar, who is in Goa and plotting large assaults with new collaborators and financial backing.

Zarar and his team prepare for the bombings, but Kabir and Tara, following various clues, successfully stop some attacks and arrest Zarar's team members. Zarar, however, manages to flee once more, and Kabir follows him down in Darbhanga. He discloses Zarar's true identity to Nafeesa, who is expecting Zarar's kid. Zarar travels for Bangladesh, and Kabir learns about his whereabouts from Nafeesa. Kabir and Tara travel to Bangladesh to meet up with Jagtap, Tara's pal and a RAW agent.

Kabir, Tara, and Jagtap ambush Zarar and his men at the station while Zarar waits for Nafeesa to arrive. Zarar is brought to a military camp before being returned to Delhi. Tara rejoins the crew, and with Kabir and Jagtap, they plan another expedition to apprehend the IM's leader and his team, which includes Rafeeq, who was just spotted in Kathmandu.

Archika Khurana from The Times of India and Rishil Jogani of Pinkvilla both gave 3/5 stars, noting its predictability but highlighting its novelty and faithful rendition of director Rohit Shetty's style. Trisha Bhattacharya of India Today and Aishwarya Vasudevan at OTTplay expressed more mixed reviews (2.5/5 stars), pointing out the potential for improvement in storytelling and innovation. Deepa Galhot from Rediff.com gave it a lower score of 2/5, missing the humour typically associated with Shetty's work, while Shubhra Gupta from The Indian Express rated it 1.5/5, critiquing its stretched plot with arguably overused tropes. Devansh Sharma of Hindustan Times posited that despite a different approach, Shetty's digital debut had not improved on his cinematic style, a sentiment echoed by Shilajit Mitra of The Hindu.

Audience Review

The series received mixed reactions from viewers. Many were disappointed with the storyline and dialogues, which they found to be lacking depth and cringe-inducing, respectively. Despite expectations for breathtaking action scenes under Rohit Shetty's creative direction, the web series fell short of generating excitement. A number of viewers considered it a waste of time. Conclusion

To wrap up, the web series Indian Police Force, directed by Rohit Shetty, showcases the reality of police work where everything isn't solved quickly or easily. This isn’t the glorified cop universe we're so used to seeing. Instead, it highlights the bravely faced dangers that officers encounter on their missions, with some even losing their lives in the line of duty.

It also stresses the importance of following the set rules and procedures in their operations, reminding viewers that officers who violate them are quickly reprimanded. Capturing the country's most dangerous criminals is shown to be a painstaking process rather than a fast-paced adventure.

The series, breaking down the long, arduous journey of a cop's life into a step-by-step portrayal, provides a deep dive into their daily challenges. It reminds us that each minor achievement in crime-fighting is hard-won, often coming after an uphill battle against many hurdles.
