Plot

A four-person middle-class family is the focus of Yeh Meri Family's second season. It takes place in the 1994 winter months and features typical family humour amongst the four of them. The show's potential is hinted at in the teaser. Neerja and Sanjay, the parents, are involved in juggling their children's life. While her younger brother Rishi is a playful child, Ritika, a teenager, struggles academically. Neerja and Sanjay represent opposing characteristics in which one is the severe parent and the other is the cool one, as was previously said.

Character Analysis

• Neerja  Awasthi - She plays as the mother in the show. She is portrayed as a strict but overly caring mother. She loves her family and wishes for them to be happy and successful.

• Sanjay Awasthi - He is a laid back father and drives around the city on a 2 wheeler scooter. He brings treats for his kids and is shown as a romantic and loving father / husband.

• Ritika Awasthi - She is a 15 year old girl who wishes for her own room. She struggles with her studies and is plagued by the problems every teenager faces.

• Rishi Awasthi - He plays the character of the son. He is shown as a mischievous boy and shares a bond with his sister. He loves playing pranks.

Episode 1 

Apna Kamra - In the midst of the Awasthi family's commotion, 15-year-old Ritika feels the urge to have her own room. But her plans are severely derailed by a surprise family visitor.

Episode 2 

Party - It's a brand-new year. Ritika desires to run into her crush. The charming boy, though, makes her heart ache. Additionally, she is about to have her concealment exposed when an unanticipated series of circumstances provides her with a solution.

Episode 3 

Cable TV - Fear of the exams knocks Ritika to the ground as she voluntarily takes on the role of family carer due to her mother's illness. Will she come across a surprise saviour?

Episode 4 

Parent Teacher Meeting - When Ritika's mother, a teacher, is accused of having children unworthy of a decent school teacher, the PTM takes an unexpected turn. Ritika and Rishi decide to establish their merit. Ritika will eventually have to decide between pursuing her goals or those of her younger brother.

Episode 5 

Ritika has a lover in hiding. He goes too far. She finds herself in a position where she is hesitant to file a complaint. Ritika receives assistance from a place she never would have expected.
