Introduction

Character Analysis

• Anshuman Pushkar plays the role of Rishi Ranjan, a young journalist who is looking into a story about the anti-Sikh riots. • Ranjan Chandel made directing debut with the series.

• The COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in India in March 2020 caused the pre-production for the series to be put on hold. Pre-production was later re-started following the lockdown.

• The series began filming in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, in September 2020, and it was finished on December 4, 2020.

Controversy 

• Grahan has come under fire for allegedly inventing facts and giving an erroneous account of several occurrences. In particular, several Sikhs have objected to how the show portrays the anti-Sikh riots, saying that it fails to adequately capture the brutality and pain that Sikhs went through at the time.
