Avrodh Overview

Avrodh is based on the chapter "We Don't Really Know Fear" from India's Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The nine-part series' first seven episodes focus on the strike's preparation, while the latter two deal with the strike itself. Each episode lasts between 23 and 25 minutes in total. The mission is kept a secret from even the most senior ministers as planning continues at the highest echelons of government in New Delhi.

On July 31, 2020, Avrodh: The Siege Within, an Indian military drama streaming series in the Hindi language, made its debut on SonyLIV.

Avrodh Crew

The series is a fictionalised account of the 2016 Uri incident and the subsequent surgical strikes, and it is produced by Applause Entertainment and Irada Entertainment under the direction of Raj Acharya. It is based on a chapter from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless. Avrodh: The Siege Within 2 is a stand-alone sequel that was released in June 2022.

Avrodh Plot

The story discusses the assassination of a militant leader named Bilawal Wani and the fallout, how terrorist and militant organisations operate in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan's role in cross-border attacks, international pressure, even the domestic bureaucratic angle and how journalists fit into the story. Weapons used in the cross-border strikes, including as M4A1s, Galils, and TAR-21s, are visible.
