2018 Indian action thriller Baaghi 2 was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. It was released in Hindi under the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment label. It has Barbiee Sharma, Deepak Dobriyal, Vipin Sharma, and Prateik Babbar in supporting parts along with Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, and Darshan Kumar in the key roles. 

Neha, a married woman, adores her daughter Rhea very much. On Rhea's first day of school, masked men attack her. She complains to the police, claiming that the men kidnapped Rhea. Police investigate the case but come up empty-handed. Despite this, Neha asks her ex-boyfriend and Indian army officer Ronnie Pratap Singh for assistance. When Ronnie and Neha were in college together in the past, he fell in love with her right away. She eventually fell in love with Ronnie after a few events. However, before passing away, Neha's father Mahendra, who had been afflicted with cancer, asked her to wed affluent businessman Shekhar. Although they chose to remain friends, Neha and Ronnie split up inconsolably because she wanted to fulfil Mahendra's final desire.

Returning to the present, Ronnie encounters a worried Neha and decides to assist her. When they get to the police station, Inspector Sharad, an F.I.R. writer, mistreats Neha. In revenge, Ronnie assaults him, which leads to his detention. However, he is soon released at the behest of Ronnie's commanding officer Colonel Ranjit's classmate D.I.G. Ajay.

Ranjit calls Ronnie back to the base, but Ronnie decides to go to Rhea's school instead while travelling with Usman, a local physically challenged agent whose assistance he had sought. Any occurrence of kidnapping on school property is denied by the principal. Ronnie encounters Sunny, the drug addict brother of Shekhar, and pursues him to a place where he discovers Usman is engaged in drug dealing. Ronnie engages in combat with the two adversaries, ultimately winning. Usman is questioned by Ronnie about Rhea, but Usman appears to be clueless.

The case has been given to Police Commissioner Loha Singh Dhull (LSD). When Shekhar first meets Ronnie, he explains that Neha has post-traumatic stress disorder and has started to have irrational thoughts about having a daughter named Rhea. He also adds that he doesn't have a daughter. Ronnie reviews the CCTV tape and discovers that only Neha was in the vehicle. Neha requests that he go as he rants aggressively at her. When he is about to leave, he notices that Rhea's height measurements suggest that she may actually be a child. This causes him to second-guess himself, but it is too late since Neha jumps off the roof and kills herself, feeling hopeless because no one believed her.

In the end, Usman comes clean about seeing Rhea when he sees Ronnie at a hotel. He bribed Usman to keep quiet after he saw his men take Rhea to a hideout while she was blindfolded. They enter a pub, where Ronnie tries to catch Sunny, but LSD catches him after asking Ronnie to wait at the motel. While Sunny is being questioned by the police, Ajay fatally kills him in a fit of rage. Ronnie arranges for Usman to see Ajay and LSD and claims to have proof that Rhea is still alive. As he drives Ronnie to his house, Ajay informs him that his family died in an accident. Usman was viciously beaten by two assailants at the same time. When Ronnie arrives, he discovers Usman bleeding and engages the two assailants.

Usman's wounds cause him to pass away. When Ronnie steals an attacker's phone and finds a picture of himself captured in Ajay's home, he realises that Ajay is the conspirator. He returns to his hiding place, engages numerous goons there, and then, while still wounded, he destroys helicopters. When Shekhar is implicated in Rhea's abduction, Ajay shoots Ronnie after he murders the person who served as Rhea's father. Shekhar set Rhea's toys and photos on fire. Ajay attempts to murder Ronnie, but LSD fatally shoots him. Before passing out, Ronnie sees Rhea. LSD explains  Shekhar's dramatic action, suggesting that Rhea is Ronnie's child and that Shekhar's infertility drove him to do it. Ronnie recalls having a sexual encounter with Neha after she informed him she must wed Shekhar. In the end, Ronnie brings Rhea to his home and pretends that Neha is grinning at him.

Despite its negative reviews, Baaghi 2 was a commercial hit, emerging as one of the highest-grossing movies of 2018 and earning a gross total of around INR 258 crores at the box office.
