Baarish is a Hindi TV series around a couple Anuj and Gauravi who are total strangers from entirely different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. They become involved in a relationship that is forced into an arranged marriage by both of their families. But when the rains decide to determine their fate, it doesn't take them long to fall in love with one another.

After his father passed away, Anuj gave up his education to take care of his siblings and the family company. Mehta Diamonds, his business empire, is something he created from nothing. All of his employees are loved and respected by him, and he views them as his family. 

Contrarily, Gauravi grew raised in a middle-class family that placed a high value on education. She is employed by Mehta Diamonds. Aniket, her younger brother, is dating Shreya, Anuj's sister (Vikram Singh Chauhan). Rishi, Anuj's spoiled brother, oversees sales at Mehta Jewelers. 

Gauravi and Anuj get close when he protects her from a plot at an exhibition. Due to certain circumstances, the families of Anuj and Gauravi arrange for their nuptials. They gradually start to fall in love.
