In the novel Badi Dooooor Se Aaye Hai, an extraterrestrial family visits Earth in an effort to locate their eldest, lost son, 2015, who they have been looking for on other planets.The show stars Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Bhosale,Vinay Rohrra , and Deepak Pareek.

As the Alien family touches down on Earth, their spacecraft crashes in a jungle. They are astonished to witness human civilization and its shape after landing. Later, they come to understand that if they behave differently or run the possibility of being captured for investigation and analysis if they roam around in their alien shape. However, they are forced to assume human form in order to protect their lives because they have extremely strong indications that their missing kid from 2015 is still alive and well.

Vasant, his wife Varsha, his younger brother Sharad, and their two boys, Hemant and Shishir, make up the alien family. Sunshine Colony's inhabitants are distinctive and humorous in their own particular ways. They initially found it difficult to embrace the Ghotalas since they are strange, but with time they came to accept them as family after realising how nice and unselfish they were. Sharad is drawn to Anna. Ghotala makes several unsuccessful attempts to find 2015 in the past. They are targeted by Sunshine Colony residents because of their peculiar attitudes regarding human customs. The family later discovers that God had other specific missions in mind for them beyond simply looking for their kid  2015.

                      First, they use Hemant's recently found healing skill to save Liza and Ronnie's daughter. After learning about Ghotala's true alien shape, they later protect Shishir in his true human form from the Bureau of Alien Investigation and Research (BAIR), who had mistaken them for Shishir in his true human form. Later, the BAIR agents, Pritesh, and Scientist Rajender put up barriers, almost preventing the alien family from exposing their actual nature. Later, Lord instructs the family to travel to Runnotsav of Kutch, where they find and save Manav Ojha, the long-lost son of Murlidhar Ojha who was thought to have died. Manav now assists Ghotala whenever Sunshine colony members accuse them of being responsible for numerous issues. Manav's admission of his feelings for Anna sparks a relationship between Sharad, Anna, and Manav.

In addition to causing issues for the family, Dada 420, who is the doppelgänger of Bharavi's grandfather, Dadi 90, who is the doppelgänger of Bharavi's grandmother, Nani 555, who is the doppelgänger of Urvashi Dholakia, and their daughter 333 visit the family at Hemant's invitation.

While travelling, Pritesh pretends to be ill, and Ghotala reveals their superpowers in an effort to save him. The colony despises the family as a result. Pritesh changes his mind and persuades the colony to permanently save the Ghotala family.

The Ghotala family has a difficult time learning that their son 2015 was held captive in an evil alien's (1313) chamber because the alien wanted him to fix a weather-controlling machine that may destroy the Earth.

The Ghotala family defeated 1313, recovered their kid, and gave him the name Samar. The Ghotalas have now made the decision to depart for home planet. Midway through, they learned that 2015's wife and son were on Earth. The Ghotala family crashes land on Earth once more as a result.

When Ghotalas first meets Daulatram (Samar's father-in-law), he and Varsha fall in love at first sight, but he soon develops suspicions about both of them. Finally getting hitched is Anna and Sharad. For the benefit of Sonachandi and Maakhan, Ghotala is now attempting to persuade Daulatram. Members of the Sunshine colony assist the family in this. One day Daulatram discovered that the Ghotalas are extraterrestrials. Fearing that Daulatram will tell the BAIR their secret,Along with Daulatram's family, the Ghotalas resolve to leave Earth right away and return to their home planet. They eventually realise that Shishir and Maakhan were left at the earth itself. As a result, they make the decision to come back and make a third crash landing on our planet. Maakhan is seen in the final sequence of the programme deciding that because the Ghotalas have now encountered Daulatram, it would be more exciting to witness the Vasant-Daulatram confrontation.
