Bahu Hamari Silk is an intriguing tale of Paakhi (Chahat Pandey), a young, street-smart girl who will do whatever it takes to acquire what she wants. She lures her uncle, who had cheated on her late father, using the smoothness of her voice. In addition, he has taken control of their home, making her mother labor like a slave. 

Natasha, a B-Grade actress, plays the other lead (Reeva Chaudhary). Her husky voice, however, is what really hurts her chances of being discovered by major film producer Kapadia (Rajesh Kumar). The latter states unequivocally that Akash, Natasha's manager (Manas Shah), can only sign her if they can find a sexy voice to dub for her. As a result, they host an RJ competition at which a Paakhi in need of employment also participates. She pulls a fast one again to move up in the huge line of aspiring hopefuls.
