A soap opera called Begusarai was broadcast on &TV. The programme debuted on March 2, 2015, and ran through June 24, 2016. The film's principal actors included Vishal Aditya Singh, Shweta Tiwari, Shivangi Joshi, Veebha Anand and Sartaj Gill. Begusarai, Bihar, is the setting for the show. Swastik Pictures produced the programme.

Poonam Kumari, who is smart, desires to pursue further education. Her best friend from infancy, Priyom, is the offspring of Begusarai's Bahubali Phulan Thakur, whose nephew Lakhan has been infatuated with Poonam since they were young. Phulan arranges for Lakhan to marry her as result of his torture to Poonam. As a result of Phulan breaking the alliance, Poonam and Priyom fall in love and get married. The Thakur family and Begusarai are devastated by Lakhan. In order for him to leave the Thakur family alone, Poonam chooses to wed him.

A dancer named Bindiya comes to Begusarai hoping to perform at events for cash. Because her father was the previous king of Begusarai, whom Phulan killed, taking Bindiya and her mother on the road, and becoming the king himself, she intends to destroy the Thakurs. Lakhan tortures Poonam once again after their marriage. In an effort to win Poonam over, Lakhan tells her about his love for her and how he never mistreated anyone. Poonam begins to like him and makes him become a kinder person, and the two of them become close.

Bindiya's actions often enrage Priyom, who tries to alter her. The baby of Poonam's brother, who perishes in an accident, is being carried by Guddi. Poonam accuses Lakhan of being to blame for this, and they are split up. When Priyom and Bindiya fall in love, he turns into the Begusarai's Bahubali. When Priyom tries to dissuade Mithilesh from killing a dishonest business colleague, he becomes collateral damage and perishes at Mithilesh's hands. Bindiya threatens Mithilesh with retaliation. With the exception of Poonam and Lakhan, the entire family is against her. When she makes the decision to accuse Mithilesh of wrongdoing, she fails because Badi Amma imprisons Poonam in the supply closet. Datta Ji is released from prison and returns to the Thakur Haveli. In front of everyone in Begusarai, he strips Bindiya before drowning her. Lakhan and Poonam make an effort to save her but are unsuccessful. Guddi and her infant are also the targets of his murderous attempts, but Poonam and Lakhan save her.

Finally admitting their affections for one another, Poonam and Lakhan begin a new relationship. When it is discovered that Bindiya is still alive, she returns to exact revenge on the entire Thakur family for failing to save her. Lakhan and Poonam receive pity from her, but the rest of the family members are subjected to torture, and Datta Ji is even killed. Komal, Choti Amma's granddaughter, visits her as Bindiya takes on the role of Begusarai's Bahubali. As Komal begins to fall in love with Lakhan, she begins to bring Bindiya a Sarkar business partner in order to assist her financially. Sarkar puts a lot of pressure on Bindiya, which leads to Guddi losing her child and Lakhan and Poonam almost divorcing.

The Thakur family battles Bindiya and Komal while attempting to identify Sarkar. Sarkar is revealed to be Choti Amma, who brought Komal to the Thakur family in order to get revenge on them. Choti Amma and Komal are killed after Komal's automobile plunges off a cliff during a chase with Lakhan and Mithilesh. It is revealed that Bindiya is expecting Priyom's child.

Maya, the wife of Poonam and Mithilesh, became pregnant a few months later. Guddi is dragged into the water while the three daughters-in-law celebrate their baby shower and perform puja beside the river. Everyone searches for her, but they are too late, and they discover her body. It is made known that Komal killed Guddi while still alive. In order to get Poonam to leave Lakhan, Komal then kidnaps Mithilesh and Poonam's father. In their attempt to flee, Mithilesh and Poonam's father is killed during the subsequent chase. In order to ensure the safety of the Thakur family, Poonam resolves to give herself up. Komal is shot in the chest by Lakhan after he discovers Poonam with her. When Poonam passes out, Lakhan brings her to the hospital.

When several criminals abduct Poonam in the hospital, it is found that Komal was rescued after being shot. Mithilesh and Lakhan are shot by Komal, and Poonam perishes giving birth. The infant is taken by Bindiya, who intends to nurture him as her own.
