Alankrita Shrivastava developed the Indian drama web series Bombay Begums for Netflix. She also co-wrote the script alongside Bornila Chatterjee and Iti Agarwal. Pooja Bhatt, Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, and Plabita Borthakur play the key characters in the Alankrita Shrivastava-directed series, which is produced by the Endemol Shine Group and Chernin Entertainment of Los Angeles. The series is narrated by Aadhya Anand. Pooja Bhatt, makes her comeback with this series. It examines the lives of five ambitious women in contemporary Mumbai as they navigate their goals, aspirations, and setbacks in settings ranging from boardrooms to society's outskirts. It was released on 8 March 2021. 

Five women from different generations battle needs, morality, personal crises, and vulnerabilities to claim their goal in this contemporary urban India story. Rani is the CEO of a bank that makes a lot of effort to conceal its issues. Fatima, a subordinate of Rani, makes every effort to win her husband over. Former bar dancer Lily, who now resides in a chawl, is using fraud to improve her son's and her own lives. Ayesha is bisexual, from a little hamlet outside of Mumbai, and just moved there. The show examines the protagonists' drug addiction, extortion, dashed hopes, and aspirations.
