Chhapaak is a Hindi biographical drama movie based on the real-life story of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.  The Chhapaak movie portrays the struggles and victories of acid attack victim Malti, from the attack's investigation to the court case, the medical care to the emotional recovery. The tale of the indomitable human spirit is found in Chhapaak. 

After two years after Padmaavat (2018), the movie Chhapaak marked Padukone's production debut and acting comeback. Padukone received a lot of recognition for her portrayal of an acid assault survivor, despite the fact that the movie failed commercially.

The scripting is excellent, the screenplay is incredibly intriguing with hardly any bathroom breaks, and the narrative looked terrific.
