The 2017 Indian action thriller Commando 2 was written and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, and Reliance Entertainment. It was directed by Deven Bhojani. The movie is the follow-up to Commando: A One Man Army from 2013 and the second in the Commando series. The film has Thakur Anoop Singh, Adil Hussain, Suhail Nayyar, and Satish Kaushik among others in recurrent parts, as well as Vidyut Jammwal, Adah Sharma, Esha Gupta, Shefali Shah, and Freddy Daruwala in prominent roles.

Karanveer "Karan" Singh Dogra, a commando, is an expert in a variety of survival techniques, weaponry, and hand-to-hand fighting. He and his crew have been smuggling black money into banks, and he is on a quest to get rid of it. He visits Vicky Chaddha, whose wife Maria informs him that their life did not always revolve around the clock like this. The movie cuts to a backstory where her husband was obliged to carry out all of this since the day after he turned down a risky job, a bomb blast happened, saving Vicky but killing their daughter Tara.

Maria promptly murders her husband and claims to be Vicky Chaddha. Vicky Chaddha was pursued by Karan and his crew before they discovered her depositing money into an account. Despite beating up every soldier on her team, Karan doesn't halt the transfer of funds. Then it becomes clear that he altered the history such that the funds were scheduled to be transferred and substituted accounts, benefiting the underprivileged. He claimed that this was scheduled for the first day. Bhavna Reddy strikes Vicky and flees the scene after Vicky claims that the police are unable to apprehend her. In a phone call, Karan claims he is waiting for the new surprise to arrive when Bhavna and Karan are together.
