Dhanak is a Hindi movie Drama movie. In 2015, Nagesh Kukunoor wrote and directed the Hindi drama film Dhanak. Hetal Gada and Krish Chhabria play the protagonist characters in the Manish Mundra, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Elahe Hiptoola-produced movie, which also stars Chet Dixon, Vipin Sharma, Gulfam Khan, Vibha Chibber, Flora Saini, Rajiv Laxman and Vijay Maurya in supporting parts.

On June 17, 2016, the movie had a nationwide opening in India.

Pari, a 10-year-old girl, and Chotu, her 8-year-old brother, reside in a gorgeous village tucked away amid the sand dunes, and the story centres on their amazing relationship.

The plot revolves around Pari who leads her blind 8-year-old brother on a walk across Rajasthan in search of actor and goodwill ambassador Shah Rukh Khan because she thinks he will help her brother undergo surgery to restore his sight.

The film had its world premiere at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival, where it was given a Special Mention for Best Feature Film by The Children's Jury and won the Crystal Bear Grand Prix for Best Children's Film.

Additionally, the movie won the Best Film Award at the Montreal International Children's Film Festival and the Best Film Award in the main category of the Children's Feature Film Competition at Cinema in Sneakers (FIFEM). [6] Additionally, Dhanak was shown at the Toronto International Film Festival as well as the Los Angeles Indian Film Festival. The 64th National Film Awards' Best Children's Film category was won by the movie.
