 Ram Kapoor and Gurdip Punjj play the main characters in the Indian soap opera Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane, which debuted on March 23, 2015, and was broadcast on Sony TV. Mahima Makwana, Pankaj Dheer, Shrey Pareek, and Ratna Shinde play recurrent parts. It is based somewhat on Mahesh Bhatt's semi-autobiographical novel 'A Taste of Life: The Last Days of UG Krishnamurti.' The serial has been shown on Flowers after being dubbed into Malayalam. The life of a cancer patient was the subject of the episode. The last episode aired on August 28, 2015. It has an IMDb rating of 6.6 out of 10.

The drama centres on Ram Ahuja, whose wife has blood cancer and wants to end her life so that her husband and children won't have to worry about her anymore. She has the support of Ram and both of their children, Disha and Arav, for a quick recovery.

The first segment of the programme features Disha and Arav providing commentary on a cricket match taking place in their colony while their parents Ram and Anandita are out playing with other colony residents. When Anandita faints, Ram and their kids tend to her.

Ram is alarmed to learn that Anandita's cancer has reappeared. He should take Anandita to a cancer hospital, the doctor says. She tells Ram to accept her determination to die and her rejection of treatment as well as her refusal to go to the hospital. Anandita longs to reconnect with Mr Kapoor, the father she left behind 18 years ago.

When they arrive at her father's residence, Manav, Monica's husband, and Monica's younger sister rage at them and demand that they leave. Her father, Mr Kapoor, confronts her and says he hasn't forgiven her for abandoning them 18 years ago. Disha challenges them when they get home about meeting Mr Kapoor. Disha is persuaded by Ram, and Anandita thanks him for telling her father he's sorry.

Ram arranges a trip to Jodhpur for his family so they can celebrate Anandita's birthday there. The Ahuja family arrives home after a trip. Ram calls for a doctor in the area after Anandita faints once more. He should take her to a cancer specialist, the doctor recommends. Disha is taken aback. Disha is comforted by Ram at the hospital.

Anandita passes away in the hospital a few weeks later. After she passes away, Mr Kapoor quarrels with Ram and makes Disha and Arav accompany him home. Disha encounters a lawyer who offers assistance to her and her family in escaping the predicament. Suraj, Ayan's father, is Mr Kapoor's driver, thus his family urged him not to assist Disha and Arav. Disha challenges Mr Kapoor but is powerless to intervene. The police arrest Mr Kapoor and he apologizes to everyone as he is being taken away.

2 months pass by and Ayan asks Disha where they should put the picture. They fight among themselves. Mr Ahuja orders them to be silent. Arav delivers a newspaper and shows him a picture in it in the meantime. A family portrait is requested by Ayan. The show concludes with a photo taken by Ram, Disha, and Arav.
