After her father's passing, a young, energetic country girl named Ek Hoti Rajkanya decides to join the police force as a constable for compassionate reasons. Avani Jairam Bhosale, age 20, is a native of a small village in Shegaon, Buldana. Avani, a medical student, and her parents have nourished their daughter's desire of becoming a doctor since she was a young girl. She was unable to complete her studies in medicine since her father, head constable Jairam Bhosale, was killed while doing his job duties and containing a rowdy mob during the Ganesh festival procession. Avani, Jairam's devoted daughter, suffered a great loss with his passing. Although she was his princess, the princess was now left to fend for herself and her family on her own.
