Gulmohar is a Marathi movie about a woman who seeks refuge under a Gulmohar tree from society's rejection, representing the tree as a kind of sanctuary. After having disagreements with her regarding her pupil, her husband kicks her out of their house. She must figure out how to adapt to the changes and make ends meet on her own.

The plot of the movie begins by showcasing the relationship of this married couple suffering as a result of the city's hectic pace and never-ending obligations. Deven's attitude of expecting to get his way in everything strains their relationship even more. The female protagonist Vidya has to now decide whether to accept her fate or to face her challenges.
