Fardeen Khan, Kunal Khemu, and Anjana Sukhani star in Puneet Sira's 2009 Indian Hindi-language action film Jai Veeru, while Dia Mirza, Mehak Chahal,and Arbaaz Khan play antagonists. The movie premiered on March 13, 2009. The legendary actors Jai and Veeru from the movie Sholay are honoured in the movie's title. The song Tennu le is the sole high point of the movie.

A small-time criminal named Veer "Veeru" Sharma (Kunal Khemu) works for Tejpal, a significant heroin importer (Arbaaz Khan). He is unaware that Jai Mehra, his best friend, is an undercover police officer looking for information to use against Tejpal (Fardeen Khan). Jai is accidently shot in the head by Veeru during a raid on Tejpal's warehouse, but he miraculously survives and recovers completely.

Then Veeru runs away to Bangkok and gets apprehended. Jai is tasked with getting Veeru back to testify against Tejpal.

They confront one another and appear to discover that their friendship is still present. When Veeru asserts that he has Tejpal's diary, which contains all of his deals and secrets, they both resolve to rekindle their friendship. Jai and Veeru unexpectedly attack Tejpal at his covert location. While Jai confronts Tejpal and kills him, Tejpal shoots Veeru. Jai permits Veeru to go before the police show up. Since then, the friendship of "Jai Veeru" has sustained him.
