An Indian television comedy series called Jugni Chali Jalandhar made its debut on SAB TV on September 29, 2008. It stars Muskaan Mihani, Karan Godhwani, Ranjeet, Asha Sachdev, Sonia Kapoor, and Abhishek Avasthi in important roles.

A girl who is deeply in love with a man from her college and is willing to endure any hardship for him tells the narrative of her struggles in Jugni Chali Jalandhar. Jasmeet is a doctor who was born and raised in London. Jazz, who is charming, fashionable, contemporary, sophisticated, and well-educated, falls for Vicky, who is a member of Gen Y but is a Punjabi munda at heart. Vicky leaves Jasmeet in London even though they are much in love because he knows his father will never accept an educated girl as his "Bahu," and instead returns to his own hamlet of Jagtariya in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Jasmeet visits Jagtariya because she is aware that the only way she can get Vicky to marry her is to win over his father. Unfortunately, she runs across her "father-in-law" at this location, who becomes enraged when she throws a pound at him and flees. He promises to make amends with her and sends his sons to find the "Firangan" (foreigner). Vicky manages to save Jasmeet from his brothers after learning that the Firangan is in fact Jasmeet. He then requests that she return. Jasmeet, who had just about decided to leave Jagtariya due to her displeasure, meets the woman.

She is surprised to learn that the woman who offers to assist her is Vicky's mother. She teaches her how to perform home duties and trains her to act like a villager. As a result, she changes from Dr. Jasmeet to Jugni, a plain, illiterate rural girl who fervently adheres to the ideals instilled in her by her father, such as covering her face in front of males. She enters "Bhalla Nivas" without Vicky's knowledge and with Rajrani's assistance, impresses Jagtaar Bhalla by finishing all of the duties he gave to 10 potential wives for his son, and ultimately succeeds in being married to her lover.

Gurpal, a villager who badly wants his daughter Preeto to marry Vicky in order to inherit the Bhallas' property, makes every effort to prevent the union. He also presents the couple with insurmountable hurdles after the wedding under the guise of "abshagun ka tod," which they valiantly overcome. On the eve of their wedding, Vicky discovers that Jugni is actually Jasmeet and is confused as to how he would tell his father the truth. Until his father recognises Jugni as Dr. Jasmeet Lamba, he will not grant her the rights to be his wife. Jugni, who is courageous, takes him at his word.

Vicky assigns her ten chores and says that if she completes each one, she will acknowledge that she is deserving of staying in Jagtariya. Because of her disposition, Jugni succeeds in completing those responsibilities and manages to win the family's affection.

She engages in activities that she had never imagined doing before, such as cooking for 10 to 15 people and working in the fields. Her problems continue to mount as more issues keep coming her way. Even though he won't admit it, Vicky supports her in getting through every challenge. Even though they are still at odds, he is aware that only Jugni has the ability to make things right for the family.

Jugni and Vicky overcame each obstacle together, whether it was coping with the infamous Gurpal and Preeto, defending their farm, or turning the naughty kids Bunty and Bubbly into good ones.
