Kahaani 2 is a Hindi thriller movie about the lead protagonist Durga Rani Singh who is imposed of kidnapping and murder. Mini Sinha and Vidya Sinha reside happily in Chandan Nagore, a sleepy town. Mini is the center of Vidya's universe. 

Life, however, has other ideas: Mini is taken hostage, and Vidya suffers an accident and falls into a coma while searching for her daughter. Inspector Inderjeet learns that Vidya Sinha might not be who she seems to be when he looks into the vehicle accident. She has a troubled past that connects her to Durga Rani Singh, a notorious felon wanted for murder and kidnapping.
