Abhishek Rawat plays the lead character in the Indian television series Kaamnaa, with Manav Gohil playing the primary antagonist. Producing the show are Cockcrow and Shaika Entertainment. On July 29, 2022, the programme was over.

Manav and Akanksha Bajpayee, a straightforward middle-class couple, and the wealthy businessman Vaibhav Kapoor are the stars of the show. When it comes to money, Manav and Akanksha hold opposing ideas, while Vaibhav is fixated on Akanksha. It stars Abhishek Rawat, Ramneetu Chaudhary,Tanmay Rishi, Chandni Sharma,Manav Gohil, Tasneem Ali, and Nisha Gupta.

Manav, a diligent and upright government employee, lives by his principles and laws very honestly. His wife Akanksha, in contrast, aspires to live a lavish life with everything she wants. They may not have gotten everything they wanted, but the two are content with their son Yatharth. Everything is going well until businessman Vaibhav Kapoor, who thinks anything can be purchased with money, falls in love with Akanksha at first sight without knowing her true identity. He calls her his Kaamnaa (translation: wish or desire).

Manav relocates from Bhopal to Indore and makes amends with Akanksha's family. Manav hears about Akanksha's past and learns that although she was formerly Miss Indore, it was only because her father bought off the judges.

By purchasing Akanksha's former bungalow and even making her an offer of employment at his company with additional benefits, Vaibhav moves closer to her. Manav disagrees with this, though, because he believes Vaibhav has ulterior motives. After some months, Akanksha develops feelings for Vaibhav, shattering Manav's heart.

Yatharth's mental health deteriorates during Akanksha's absence, but Sakshi, his school counsellor, is able to aid him. Sakshi has been impacted since since her husband Prateek and son Parth died in a car accident. When Sakshi recognises Parth in Yatharth, she interferes with Manav and Akanksha's sole custody of Yatharth and is forced to leave the school. Manav feels bad after losing everything, so for Yatharth's sake, he allows Sakshi and her mother-in-law Malti to reside with them.

Following Mr. Holkar's compassion for him and admission of his prior errors, Manav is granted legal custody of his son. When Akanksha is unable to convince Yatharth to remain with her despite requesting Vaibhav for assistance, the latter refuses since he despises children, she begins to experience paranoia. After she abducts Yatharth at school, things become crazy before she can even go to court. While Akanksha appears to still love Vaibhav while truly wanting to inherit 50% of his riches and property, Vaibhav dislikes her for damaging his reputation when he departed for America. They pledge to stick together solely for the purpose of exacting revenge on Manav.

Manav successfully defends himself against numerous bogus accusations with the aid of retired and blind attorney Mr. Shenoy.

After Niharika's dismay, Manav relocates and takes over as CEO of Holkar Industries in an effort to exact revenge on Vaibhav for destroying Mr. Holkar and Ayesha's lives. When Manav learns about Prateek and Parth from Malti aunty, he tells him the tragic story of how they lost them in a car accident. Manav is astonished to learn how much suffering Sakshi endured. Sakshi moves in with Manav and Yatharth after much persuasion. Up until someone declares Sakshi to be Manav's bride, everything is OK.

The attempt of Yatharth and Ayesha to bring them together was unsuccessful. When Manav and Sakshi learn about this, they decide to split up. Despite realising she has affections for Manav, Sakshi keeps her feelings to herself. Yatharth's mental health rapidly deteriorates, and he quits going to school and breaking up with Ayesha. When Manav is unable to strike a balance between his personal and professional lives, he panics and learns how much he needs Sakshi.

Akanksha does everything to entice Yatharth to join her, but she fails miserably. After an embarrassing encounter with her future husband, Manav warns Sakshi about him, and the two become friends.

When Yatharth is involved in a bike accident, Vaibhav seizes the opportunity to destroy all the evidence against him. Manav feels helpless at this juncture, but a priest raises his spirits by telling him that Niharika is still alive. Vaibhav had Niharika kept for seven years at an abandoned location for safekeeping, which Manav and Mr. Holkar found out. Strange occurrences take place on the day of Vaibhav and Akanksha's wedding, yet Akanksha still chooses to wed Vaibhav. This was all part of Manav's plan, and everyone is now able to see Niharika alive. Lacking a choice, Vaibhav kicks Akanksha out of the house and office. Akanksha visits Vaibhav when he is imprisoned.Finally, Vaibhav admits to Akanksha that he had to do bad things to get her, even though she was useless. Akanksha continues to meddle in Manav and Yatharth's lives despite everyone's cautions since she has nowhere else to turn. Manav and Sakshi become engaged after realising their love for one another. Manav is accused of causing a car accident that injured Akanksha, and after Vaibhav reported his attempted murder of her to the authorities, Manav was detained. Vaibhav tries to kill Niharika by strangling her, but she stops him in his tracks. Vaibhav changes and departs to atone for his crimes after Niharika informs him that his infatuation with money has left him with nothing. After recognising her errors, Akanksha departs the house. Sakshi marries Manav.
