Sony Entertainment Television now carries the Indian television programme Ladies Special. It made its debut on May 25, 2009, alongside a plethora of other new TV programmes as part of Sony TV's significant makeover. The programme centres on the lives of a group of women who ride Mumbai's Ladies Special commuter train. Season 1 ended on December 14, 2009. Season 2 began on November 27, 2018, included a new cast, and finished on August 16, 2019. It stars Neena Gupta, Shilpa Tulaskar, Ashita Dhawan,and Payel Singh.

The novel is set in Mumbai and is an interpretation of the struggles and difficulties faced by urban women, as well as how they occasionally find comfort, support, and companionship in the most unexpected places. Four women who take the Ladies Special train to and from work, Shubha Joshi, Nanda Shinde, Bubbly Chaddha, and Pooja Singh, are the case's protagonists.

Period 2

Meghna, Prarthana, and Bindu, three passengers, meet aboard a Mumbai Ladies Special train and become friends by talking about their problems. Marathi woman Meghna Nikade has a persistent, upbeat attitude. Her spouse, Mandar, her two children, Swapna and Sachin, as well as her father-in-law, make up her family. She comes from a lower middle class background.

Her dream is to co-found Swapna Garments with her best friend Jyoti.

Prarthana Kashyap, a stern 30-year-old Bihari lady who works for a telecom company, is a hard worker. Her mother Rachna, her father, who is unemployed, and her brother Puneet, a cab driver, make up her family. She is soft-spoken and kind-hearted despite her quick fuse. Her husband is Viraj Parimal.

Bindu Desai is a stunning, bubbly homemaker from Gujarat. Dr. Amar Desai, her spouse, is a cardiologist by trade. Amar was compelled to wed Bindu, but his true love is Dr. Kangana Rajawat. Amar tells Bindu what he knows about Kangana, and to Amar's amazement, Bindu accepts the information without question.

Even if Bindu's marriage is not perfect, she never lets it show and always has a grin on her face. Mota Papa and Mota Mami make up her family.

These three buddies experience difficulties in their marriages but overcome them. Last but not least, Megha and Mandar had a daughter named Bindu. While Kangana and Puneet are married, Bindu and Amar are reconciled. The series comes to a pleasant conclusion.
