Rahul Dholakia wrote and directed Lamhaa, an action thriller movie in Hindi, which translates to "Moment." Leading actors include Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu, Anupam Kher, and Kunal Kapoor, and Shyam Kishore. The movie centres on an Indian Army officer who is sent undercover to track out the perpetrator of terrorist strikes in Kashmir, where he is assisted by the daughter of a prominent separatist. The movie premiered on July 16, 2010.

Vikram Sabharwal, an operative of the Indian Military Intelligence, is sent to Kashmir. Under the cover of Gul Jahangir, a news reporter, he is there to find the person or people responsible for the violence. When he arrives, he starts his research by going to places that are extremely sensitive, like the Jama Masjid, Dardpura Village, and Rainawari Chowk.

He is accompanied by Char Chinar, a tailor who sells uniforms to both military personnel and terrorists. Aatif Hussain, a potential political leader, and Aziza Abbas Ansari's tutor, Haji Sayyed Shah, are introduced to Vikram. After these conversations, he will come to the conclusion as to who is responsible for the extremism in this stunning yet extremely dangerous location.
