Looop Lapeta is a 2022 comedy-thriller movie in the Hindi language that was co-produced by Sony Pictures Films India, Ellipsis Entertainment, Tanuj Garg, and Aayush Maheshwari. It was directed by Aakash Bhatia. Along with Bhupesh Bhandekar, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya playing supporting parts, the movie stars Taapsee Pannu, Gaurav Pareek, and Tahir Raj Bhasin in the key roles.

A knee injury ends the promising track and field athlete Savina "Savi" Borkar's career. She makes the decision to kill herself while at the hospital recovering from surgery, but Satyajeet "Satya," a small-time, inept thief, stops her. They fall in love and start dating, which her father Atul finds objectionable. Victor gives Satya an assignment one day: in 80 minutes, deliver an item to a location and collect 5,000,000. In order to repay Victor's portion and keep the profits for himself, Satya chooses to bet the money after delivering the item and collecting the cash. He gets drunk with a stranger on the way to a casino and misplaces the bag of money. Savi decides to seek Atul for the cash after learning she is pregnant.

Savi talks with Jacob, a taxi driver whose lover Julia is getting married to another guy, as she makes her way to Atul's gym. Savi damages Jacob's cab after he declines to give her the keys, drawing David the policeman's notice. Savi begs Atul for money, but they argue because Atul was her trainer and their bond deteriorated as a consequence of Savi's injuries. As a result of her mother's passing, Savi accuses Atul of dating a man. The two cannot agree, and Savi departs without receiving anything. When David spots her, he pursues her, but she hides at Julia's wedding and escapes.

Meanwhile, the dimwitted Appu and Gappu brothers scheme to loot the jewellery shop owned by their father Mamlesh. A Mexican showdown results when Satya enters the shop with the same idea. By hurling a stone through a window to divert attention, Savi enables Satya to flee with the money. The brothers eventually catch up with them in an alley, at which point Mamlesh shows up and shoots and murders Satya. During a flashback, Satya tells the tale of Savitri, the woman who conned Yama, the deity of death, into saving her husband Satyavan even though Satyavan was destined to die. The day then starts over with Savi learning she is pregnant, giving her essentially another chance to save Satya.

The second process repeats, and Savi answers Satya's phone, telling him to remain still and not pursue the bus. As she makes her way to her father's gym, she got into an argument with a man, drawing David's attention once more. David pursues her to Jacob's taxi and insists that Jacob drive under duress, but they collide with the bus carrying the money. Savi holds Atul hostage while stealing David's gun, albeit he is largely uninjured and has no money. She tries to hide in Julia's change room as David pursues her into Julia's marriage as she departs the gym. There, Julia talks about the challenging circumstance she finds herself in as a result of wanting to wed Jacob.

Jacob overhears Savi telling her to forget Jacob and go with the wedding. A horrified Jacob stumbles off the balcony and suffers serious injuries while Julia follows the suggestion and kisses her future husband. Satya gets into a fight with the brothers as he strolls close to the jewellery store, and they steal his gun. Satya is informed by Savi that they will loot the siblings after they have burglarized the store. The strategy is successful, but Jacob shows up and murders Satya in retaliation for Savi ruining his life. The day begins anew.

As soon as the third version begins, Savi makes the decision to make amends and control the sequence of actions and save Satya. She offers her father an apology, and they make up, each promising to try harder to be kind to each other's boyfriend. She enters Jacob's taxi and persuades him that if he genuinely loves Julia, he must fight for her. As they arrive at the wedding, Savi assists Jacob and Julia in fleeing. She robs a bag holding monetary gifts for the marriage, wagers that money, wins big, and makes enough money to reimburse Victor.

When Satya attempts to rob the business, Mamlesh knows him as a previous client and comes up with a scheme with him to stage a robbery so they may get paid by insurance. Mamlesh turns on Satya when the brothers show up to play out the kidnapping but finds that Satya has already emptied out his gun. David and the cops are reacting to the hostage crisis as Satya exits the business with the money, but they mistake him for a bystander and get him out. Satya and Savi decide to be married after she confesses her pregnancy during their meeting. They give Victor his money while keeping Savi's gains. Satya spots the bus passenger who stole his bag as the movie comes to a close and starts running after him.

Looop Lapeta was received well by the audience and critics alike, with most people praising its comic timing and dark humour used in the film. Taapsee Pannu's performance as Savina was also praised and the movie gained decent viewership on Netflix.
