Directed by David Dhawan, the movie is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the production banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. Varun Dhawan, Ieana D’Cruz, Nargis Fakhri, Anupam Kher, Evelyn Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Manoj Pahwa, Saurabh Shukla, and Shakti Kapoor among many others.

Sajid-Wajid composed the soundtrack, and Kumaar, Kausar Munir, and Danish Sabri wrote the lyrics.

The story follows Sreenath Prasad, referred to as Seenu who is the most infamous boy in Ooty. He drops out of college in Ooty in order to attend a college in Bangalore. He falls in love with Sunaina here. Sunaina, on the other hand, is compelled to marry Angad, a local police officer who is more of a terrifying thug. Seenu also has another devoted sweetheart, Ayesha, whom he is ignorant of. He had once saved her friends, and Ayesha knew right away that he was the man for her. Ayesha's father is a powerful criminal who kidnaps Sunaina in order to seize Seenu and force him to marry his daughter.
