Rajshri Productions created the Indian soap opera Main Teri Parchhain Hoon. It was shown on NDTV Imagine from January 21 until February 12, 2009. Megha Gupta, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Lata Sabharwal, Abir Goswami, and Kiran Bhargava play the key parts in the Prasannaa Shetty-directed film. Dangal TV began airing the series again on March 8, 2021. It has an IMDb rating of 8.8 out of 10.

Aanchal aspires to be a fashion designer and resides with her aunt and uncle. Jaya is a loving wife and mother who is committed to Siddharth, her husband, and their three kids Ayush, Juhi, and Sachin. Jaya promises to return soon when visiting her maternal house in Mumbai. She meets Aanchal at the bus stop and provides her ticket so that Aanchal can attend an interview on time. Jaya's bus falls off a cliff and she dies, leaving her family devastated. 

Aanchal accepts a position as a fashion designer but feels bad after learning about Jaya's passing. Siddharth desires to keep his children unaware of Jaya's passing, but Ayush learns of it and decides to keep his siblings in the dark out of concern for them.

Siddharth withdraws into himself. Juhi and Sachin decide to visit their mother in Mumbai because they miss her; Ayush also goes. The bus driver asks the kids to get off since they don't have tickets. He learns that the children's mother, Aanchal, is on the bus. The bus stops, and Aanchal feeds and gets to know the kids. Ayush responds that their mother is in Mumbai when she inquires about them. Aanchal brings them back and instructs them to go home as their dad will be worried. Siddharth is looking for the kids, but Aanchal runs into the rest of the family. According to Siddharth's father, the kids are not yet aware of their mother's passing.

Aanchal offers to be the tutor when he asks for one, and the kids grudgingly accept. When Juhi and Sachin find out that their mother has passed away, Siddharth comforts them. As she instructs the kids, Aanchal grows fonder of them. They start to like her, Sachin in particular. When Aanchal and Siddharth first meet, she identifies herself as the kids' tutor. Chanchal, the stepmother and sister-in-law of Siddharth, is envious of Aanchal's connection to the family, and she and Lalita work together to sabotage her. Because he believes Aanchal is taking the place of his mother, Ayush starts to dislike her. Aanchal and Sachin get closer. Additionally, as he offers to assist her with her fashion designs, Siddharth and Aanchal become closer.

When Siddharth's father and Dheeraj express their desire for the two of them to wed, he responds that Jaya cannot be replaced. When Aanchal hears him, she decides against taking Jaya's place. Aanchal and Siddharth continue to become more intimate. After the passing of Jaya's mother, Ayush and Juhi grow to detest her. Aanchal is to blame for Chanchal's aunt's passing.

Because he wants Aanchal to be the mother of his children, Siddharth asks her to marry him. While Lalita, Chanchal, Ayush, and Juhi are upset, Aanchal, Haryaman, Dheeraj, and Sachin are joyful. In order to be a wife and mother, Aanchal gives up her dream of becoming a fashion designer. Sudeep, who has always liked Aanchal, is frustrated by this. After getting married, Siddharth and Aanchal begin to fall in love. Ayush and Juhi are expelled from the home by Lalita and Chanchal, but Siddharth and Sachin accompany her; when they are refused entry, Siddharth breaks relations with them. Being pregnant is disappointing for Aanchal because the kids still don't accept her.

Siddharth objects to her plan for an abortion, so they decide to keep the child. Under Aanchal's supervision, Sachin has a crippling accident. Siddharth and Aanchal try their best to assist Sachin despite the taunting from Lalita and Chanchan. In order to gain the children's acceptance, Aanchal gives birth to a son whom she names Jai and leaves him with her aunt and uncle. Aanchal declines a position as a fashion designer in favour of concentrating on Sachin's development with Siddharth.

In a dream, Juhi encounters Jaya and advises her to accept Aanchal. The sacrifices made by Aanchal for their family and Ayush are ultimately understood by Lalita and Chanchan. At a celebration, Ayush shows up with Jai and hands him to Aanchal, addressing her 'mom.' As Jaya waves goodbye, Aanchal notices her in the skies, and the entire family is at last reunited, bringing the show to a close.
