Miss India or Femina Miss India is one of the Big Four important international beauty pageants where contestants from Miss India are chosen to compete in Miss World. 

Femina, a women's magazine produced by The Times Group, is in charge of organizing it. Since 2013, Miss Diva has been run separately by Femina, with competitors participating in Miss Universe.

The organization also hosts a pageant every two years to choose the Indian representative for the Mister World and Mister Supranational pageants in addition to Miss Diva.

Pramila (Esther Victoria Abraham), a Calcutta native, was crowned Miss India in 1947. The current Femina Miss India (Femina Miss India World) titleholder is Sini Sadanand Shetty of Karnataka. She was crowned on July 3, 2022, at Jio World Center in Mumbai by the outgoing titleholder Manasa Varanasi.

Since Indrani Rehman debuted in the Miss Universe competition in 1952, Miss India has taken part. Fleur Ezekiel debuted in the Miss World competition in 1959. Anukreethy Vas, an Indian model and previous winner of beauty pageants, was named Femina Miss India 2018. She represented India at the Sanya, China-hosted 68th Miss World competition.

Femina began sending the winner of Miss Universe and the Miss World runner-up in the 1970s after acquiring the privilege to send a representative to both competitions. Femina Miss India also obtained the opportunity to send Indian delegates to the Miss International pageant later in 1991.

Sushmita Sen, the first Indian woman to hold the Miss Universe title, won the title in 1994 after taking home the Miss India crown. Aishwarya Rai, Miss India's runner-up, took home the Miss World crown in the same year.
