Dr. Divya is her doctor, and she serves as her saviour. Due to her pregnancy, Shona is having problems in both her personal and professional lives. She experiences problems, but the man who made her pregnant walks free and is not held accountable. 

The show Panaah examines how society mistreats pregnant women who are not married. It demonstrates how they forbid female independence. The mindset of the time was mirrored in this show, and not much has changed since then.
