A Marathi television show called Phulpakharu was broadcast on Zee Yuva and is now available online at ZEE5. The first episode of the series aired on 24 April 2017 and ran through 26 October 2019. Yashoman Apte, Manoj Kolhatkar, Shalaka Pawar, and Nilay Ghaisas play the key parts, and it is directed by Amol Pathare and produced by Mandar Devsthali. It has an impressive IMDb rating of 9.1 out of 10.

Manas and Vaidehi are currently attending college. Manas writes Vaidehi poetry because he loves her. These poems quickly win Vaidehi over, and through a mutual friend, she meets her hidden admirer. Vaidehi and Manas become close because of an inter-college theatre competition, and Vaidehi eventually develops feelings for Manas. Soon after that, they start dating. Even though Sameer Nawathe, Vaidehi's best friend, falls in love with her, she clears up their misconceptions and they continue to be friends. The families of Manas and Vaidehi are tricked by Sameer's father, a businessman, but the truth is revealed later, and at a New Year's party, the families come together.

Maya, who has fallen in love with Manas, now joins the party. She befriends Vaidehi through polite conversation. By visiting his house frequently, trapping her and Manas in a college classroom, and paying a man to take intimate pictures of them, she blackmails Manas covertly. Maya gives Vaidehi skewed accounts of Manas cheating on her. Vaidehi breaks up with Manas out of hurt and rage. When Sameer learns of Maya's scheme, he devises his own scheme to deceive her. Vaidehi and Manas come to terms. They gain acceptance in both houses when they disclose their connections to their separate homes.

Soon, Maya's friend Rocky, an utterly egotistic musician, enters their life and disparages their gang. Rocky is challenged to a contest by Vaidehi. Tanya, a friend of Vaidehi's, is sweet-talked by Maya while Varsha, Vaidehi's best friend, is persuaded to turn against Vaidehi by Maya. Tanya causes issues for the gang by stealing and concealing their tools. Manas and Vaidehi sleep together on Holi after Maya mixes bhaang in the thandai. After their college is through, their gang triumphs in the tournament and Vaidehi's pregnancy is made public. Tanya and Sameer begin dating while this is happening and fall in love.

After they inform their families, Manas's father gives him instructions on how to earn enough money to return home. Soon later, Manas begins employment with a travel agency. Manas and Vaidehi tie the knot. Shalmali, the wife of Manas' boss, is a woman without any of her own children. She begins to dislike Manas and grow protective of Vaidehi, who is expecting. By encouraging Vaidehi to turn against Manas and abduct Vaidehi, she causes a lot of problems in Manas and Vaidehi's lives. She is found to have a psychological condition, and Manas and Vaidehi later extend their forgiveness.

Kuldeep, Manas' uncle, is keeping an eye on Sadanand Rege's land in the meantime. He causes family problems and Manas' accident, which puts him in a long-term coma. Kuldeep is finally sent behind bars. Soon after, Manas and Vaidehi welcome a daughter, whom they call Mahi. They consider giving their child to Shalmali, who is childless, but Shalmali declines. They quickly relocate to a new home that Vaidehi's father has given them. Vaidehi and Manas join her father's business.

Later, Manas begins his dream job as a guitarist and singer for Revati Bhargav Kotibhaska. A few days later, Sameer also starts working for the same company. Manas and Sameer's supervisor Revati despises their friendship and has plans to ruin it. She charges Manas with sexual assault. At the time, Vaidehi decided to pursue law and decides to represent Manas. Sameer concurs with Revati. The relationship between Sameer and Tanya suffers greatly as a result. They split up shortly after.

Manas and Sameer reunite when Vaidehi establishes Manas' innocence. It is made clear that Revati is envious of Manas because he has everything. Tanya accepts Sameer's apology, and they reconcile. Manas' aunt Kusum is seeking a divorce from Kuldeep, Manas' uncle. Subu, a relative of Tanya, and Kusum quickly fall in love and decide to wed. The show comes to a satisfying conclusion on Mahi's first birthday.
